Well ladies and gentlemen! I now have a number of P. Dreading seedlings in my grow this year. I'm extremely excited to be a part of this and am looking forward to posting pics of my grow as it progresses. Will there be a new glog posted for this year, or will we continue on this one dated for...

    Blisters 2017 LED Coco grow

Thanks Stettoman! I'm really looking forward to the P. Dreadie's this year. I've got another one trying to poke through and am having some fantastic germination rates on the seeds. I'm also glad to see others try coco. Have you grown in it before? It's a bit of a different beast compared to...

Aaaand the first to pop out of the gate are.... P. DREADIE SS. I had a few seeds in a coffee filter and some in coco. All 4 in the filter germed so into the coco they go. They're currently getting a bit of light, then they'll go back under the dome for the night. Thanks for providing the...

    Blisters 2017 LED Coco grow

After some contemplation on doing a glog this year I've decided to run at least one more. I've scaled back the variety of peppers again and have limited myself to three: - P. Dreadie Select bonnet - courtesy of Malarky - Bhut Orange Copenhagen (BOC) - courtesy of Malarky - Red Jolokia that I...

    P. Dreadie Memorial Group Grow 2016

With the kind generosity of Matt, I am now in possession of some P. Dreadie seeds and a few other varieties I haven't had before. I'll be joining the P. Dreadie glog next year. Hard to believe that I'll be getting the early starts going in 4-6 weeks from now. Can't wait to try these! Neil

media Can I replace Peat Moss with Coconut peat???

Washing it depends on the quality you buy. If you get the cheap bricks from a hardware store then yes. Wash it. If you buy quality coco from a hydro store you're usually ok. Especially if you buy the loose bags. Neil

Mezo`s "super hots" Glog including the 'big' solar dehydrator.

Geeze sounds like it was a bit rough for a bit there. Hopefully it's in the past and you're able to move on. I'm limited in terms of space as well, but the few plants I do grow really help me to maintain the last thread of sanity I have. Neil

media Can I replace Peat Moss with Coconut peat???

There's a few glogs on THP where coco is used. I grow in pure coco and use liquid ferts. It's not for everyone, but works for me. Neil

    NPK ratio?

The Chili pepper institute of New Mexico recommends a balanced 15-15-15 npk, but also cautions that chili peppers don't need ferts all that often. It's a good suppliment. I grow in coco and have found a 1-1-2 ratio works pretty good. It's a bit different than soil though. Neil

Leaves hard, wrinkled and not growing

Yep that's sunscald on the last 2 pics. I had some that I started indoors this past season. They were green and healthy. I put them out for a hot day and burned the bejesus out of them. It doesn't really hurt the plant, but does hurt my grows pride. Neil

Show us your holy grail of growing

How do you germinate?   Usually in paper towels, but I have used the peat pellets in the past and will try the coco pellets this year to see how they do   What is your soil mix made of?   I tend to use Botanicare Cocogro Coco Coir because it's available and it's a quality product. I've used...

    P. Dreadie Memorial Group Grow 2016

Thanks for the offer. I haven't had a problem sending or receiving seeds to/from the US in the past. I've always bubble enveloped the seeds and claimed it as a birthday card when sending. Even sent some to the Phillipines. Neil

Depends on where you live. I'm far north and I can't get anything out 5g pots and soil.

    hydroponic Hydroponics Worth it?

I've tried the hempy buckets, Coco perlite mix and cns17, but I've not had the same growth and success as I've had with plain coir and GreatfulH3AD's formula of 6ml GH micro, 9ml GH Bloom with RI water. My extreme summer temperature is about 92f with an average temp in the 60s. This is my grow...
