    Tybo2021

Looks like variegation to me!    I have a few Purple Tiger and PT hybrids that show similar coloring. Some wait until their third or fourth set of leaves to start changing color, others have only mild variegation, others simply don't express. I can't comment on PollenNut's specific cross here...

    Variegated Jalapeno Grow Log

Those are definitely some unique plants. I'm surprised some of those did as well as they did given the amount of white tissue.    I'm excited to see what all those different phenotypes look like once they mature!

    Peppers on the move 2020

Haha I did save some seeds and it definitely has a special place in my heartburn. I'll break it out every couple of seasons for sure but dude, that's a seriously hot pepper. If I can't get the endorphin rush from my other varieties, that one will certainly do the trick.   Edit: I hate going back...

    Peppers on the move 2020

Another month in. Only what, five more until spring? The spare bedroom is getting pre-tty crowded and I'm worried I might not make it until then.    That having been said, all in all things are growing well. Despite moving the plants another 6" away from my lights, everyone has retained their...

    catchthebear 2020

First off, awesome stuff as always.   Second. what is that small plant, second from the top, in the first photo at the top of the previous page? That's not a baby finger lime is it? If so, are they as hard to start as people say?

fermenting What do I do with this ferment?!

I think they would probably work well as a nice pickled pepper relish if you threw a handful in the food processor. Obviously taste and adjust seasoning as needed but as long as they don't mold you should be golden.   I fermented a puree of peppers this season and turned it into a fermented...

seed-train The annual Mega Seed Train 2020/2021

For the sake of full disclosure, I took a couple "full" bags from A train (all fewer than 10 seeds). I did not leave the packaging behind but would be happy to submit what I took with photos if someone needs it for documentation purposes.

Skullbikers ALL of 2020 Outside NOT PEPPERS Glog

I did more or less the same and while it has rooted and put out new growth, it looks nothing like those nice looking plants in your photos. I feel like one I grew as a kid spit out a tiny pineapple after just about 4 months. This one is just happy being a green plant.   Then again, time did move...

Skullbikers ALL of 2020 Outside NOT PEPPERS Glog

Do you have any pro pineapple tips you could bless us with? I have one I started from a store bought but it is fairly slow growing.

For what it's worth I can't see them either. At one point I could see them in older threads but these don't show up. I know what they are in spirit though.

    Peppers on the move 2020

Update time.     So the first lot of plants is hitting cruising speed right about now. Right now we have a lot of leafy growth, the plants are drying out in about 24 hours, and...     Flowers! Shishitos, Mini Paprika, and Thunder Mountain Longhorns are getting ready to kick out fruit.   On...

pod Seed mix up or different phenotype type??

There are a lot of suppliers that are well reviewed in the Vendors section. A few of my favorites have been (in no particular order), RefiningFire, White Hot Peppers, The Hippy Seed Company, and Fatalii. I would say check out the reviews on here and their respective websites for more.

    Pre-Mixing MasterBlend

Like Demented said, once you start mixing solutions, nutrients will react with one another and precipitate out of solution. https://royalbrinkman.com/knowledge-center/crop-care/prevent-precipitation-fertilizers

pod Seed mix up or different phenotype type??

I have found that supplier to be a bit of a mixed bag - quite literally. Most of the seeds I planted from them rarely grew true to their description. That wasn’t because they bagged up the wrong seed, but cross pollination or fairly unstable genetics seemed to be very common.

    White Flys

I have been battling them for a few weeks now myself. I have had yellow sticky traps up and that took care of a lot of the flies. Unfortunately, after a week or so they somehow learned (or adapted) to pull themselves off the sticky trap.   Two days ago I used "Natria 706250A Neem Oil Pest and...

    cooking hot sauce from powder

Your post really got me thinking and I would guess that technically, Gochujang would fall into this category as well.   https://kimchimari.com/how-to-make-gochujang-at-home/   Additionally, thank you very much for asking the question because I think this is going to be the impetus for me to...

    Peppers on the move 2020

I ended up going for this one and tacked on the waterproof coating because I'm a bit of a mess. https://www.budgetgrowlights.com/collections/micro/products/series-3-full-spec-130-watt-dimmable-grow-light   Again, its targeted for the cannabis industry but it had the profile I wanted. After...

    Peppers on the move 2020

Figured it was time for another update. We have had some unusual weather in my neck of the woods: hail, snow, rain, and 80F+ (27C) temps all in the same week. Fortunately, there were some nice days sprinkled in there where we were able to open the windows and get some fresh air...

    Need Swag!

I’d probably jump in as well for a t-shirt. Maybe a hoodie as well down the line.
