Thanks for your answeres guys.   I dont think i sampled a bad one, because this "soapy" flavor also appeared on different fresh "anuums" i tasted. But i guess i have to get another fresh or dried "pequin" variety somewhere to test it.   Seems like im the only one who can taste this "soapyness"...

  Its a really strange thing with that "soapyness". The most people can only taste that in "Chinense", i dont know if much can taste that on "annums".   I love "chinenses", because they have zero "soapyness" to me. I had a very small "anuum" from italy and my brother liked the taste very much...

  It was a fully ripe and dried "Pequin from Ischia". So sad, it has a wonderfull smell to it :-/

Anyone knows what it now needs to get some seeds from them? Do i also need any document to get them shipped in a foreign country?   I placed an order before some weeks, but nothing happens.  

Got a seeds pack that is labeled "Early Naga Mix", i guess i have to try some of these.   Next year will be the "year of the Bhut" :-).

  Yes Nigel said in this Thread, that the small one has a more concentrated flavor. The bigger one is a bit more "watered down".

Ah ok i seen in another thread was also this question. So i know both types are cumari do para. 

Btw. i ve seen 2 type of yellow "cumari" peppers. They have nearly the same size, but one has pods that grow upwards, the other one has pods that "hanging" on the plant. I think the "haning" ones are a little bit bigger and not so round.   Anyone know which one is the real "cumari do para" ? 

Wow thats cold. We had mild winters in the last years here. Its about +7 degree Celsius at the moment.   But last year it took forever to get over 20 degree (at the end of juni).

I always wanted to grow some of these 2 peppers but cant decide, which one.   Somebody grown both and can tell me which one tasted better?

My absolute favorite for fresh eating / cooking is "7Pod Yellow". Very big pods, easy to grown and thick walled. Superb fruity taste and smell. Still dont get it how pople can hate it, very good fresh and still good as powder  ;) . But some people find habaneros "soapy" i heared. I just find...

  I guess i have tro ty both :-) Typically i like the red varieties the most. But i have only experience with 7pods, so i dont know how it is with bhuts.   Mhh dipping the fingers in the oil and scratch you somewhere  :P

Last Year i only grew "7Pods" and Habaneros / Fataliis. I love them for their fruity and sweet flavor, but sometimes it is just too much.   I ordered some "Bhut" Powder and i love how "hefty" the flavor was ( simliar to some kind of anuums, "Gorria" for example). It is not so sweet and fruity...

To be honest, i just grown 1 basil (greek small basil) myself. I normally buy them in spring.    I tought you always have to grown many plants together to get a bush, because the stores do it this way.   But i guess they do it to be faster. Thats a good tip with the "topping", thanks. where do...

  Thank you, they look really nice. Reminds me of a plant, that grows wild here, but i dont know the name now.   Good to know, that 1 seed gives a whole plant and not just a "high branch", like a "basil" does :-).
