i ordered red yellow choc(brown) ghosts and brainstrains this year.   issue 1 red brainstrain didn't grow true, elongated pods. choc and yellow are good.  yellow ghosts are great, red and choc are tiny, not good genetics.    these are pretty standard varieties that should be stable by now...  ...

the waxy exterior of the pod grows at a lower rate the interior flesh grows faster pressure builds up until, pop, split  then it starts getting mushy as the waxy exterior is no longer protecting the pod from water loss so it dehydrates or gets bacteria inside and rots.   prevention: pods grow...

i think its because the fire breathing color is the same color as the face. if you could make the fire breath color slightly grey or something. it looks strange because the foreground fire and background guys face all blend together.

wait seeds are still from reproduction, they aren't straight clones (even if self pollinated) there can be differences in genetics between seeds even in a pod, let alone the whole plant.

since it's all circulating shouldn't matter where you mix it in. i imagine it takes a while to stabilize throughout the whole system. maybe the bucket right before the pump so it will circulate it faster?   yeah i think you'd want inline like halfway through the return loop so roots aren't...

head height pushing the water up 3 ft takes some effort too. 

you could just not have the res and undercurrent would be like this    purple is the pump     you will still want a air pump + 4 stones to each bucket that you don't have pictured?

  idk if the water pushing down across the buckets is enough pressure to drain from the last bucket before 1st bucket overflows.  flow rate and pipe size would have some effect you would have to test it   just buy the 5 buckets and pump, if you have to scrap a couple buckets its ok only a few...

I don't think that will work, the resistance pushing to next pot will probably be higher than just overflowing the bucket. a similar system is undercurrent, the pipe just runs along the bottom, not to the top of next bucket.   for 4 pots it is probably much easier to just have 4 separate DWC...

  do you have pictures of them from spring > now   show us a timeline of pictures we can kinda guess.

  you heat up faster / get more sun in the spring than lots of us.   if you can see podz is from finland and considers 80F warm :P
