    Pepper plant problems

could be disease on these plants just got lucky.    if you are doing the same thing on the other plants i wouldn't be so quick to condemn your fertilizer methods. although if you are going to use masterblend 4-18-38 definately use the calcium nitrate and epsom salt too. u need the calcium and...

    Sudden Yellow Veins

lower leaves drop to form new branches, it is pretty common.  Is this all over the plant, or just the lower ones?   but generally you should stay away from moisture control. it usually means they put something in the mix that holds extra water. this is good for flowers and lets you be lazy, but...

Foliar Feeding - Newb Needs Some Answers

i don't do any foliar feeding.   With liquid feeding you can add it to every watering, every day, i do. (its on an automated system) with hydroponic systems where roots are constantly in solution like kratky or dwc the nutrients are always available in solution.   Generally you should follow...

Foliar Feeding - Newb Needs Some Answers

    1)  Foliar feeding is used to help with what appears to be ailing plants, fine.  Elsewhere I read that foliar feeding can be used in lieu of a regular watering.  Is there general agreement about this? No, plants have roots for a reason they are specialized in absorbing water and nutrients...

    sun Dropping during direct sunlight

transpiration: plants suck up water from the roots and emit (breath) it out through the leaves.  This is part of photosynthesis process.    A plant in full sun is doing maximum photosynthesis increasing transpiration. As the plant gets hotter it transpires more to cool down via evaporative...

    pH adjustment at scale

yeah for normal gardeners not a problem, unless you have some reallly bad soil.   i meant like farmers with fields rotating crops targeting a specific ph or whatever they will usually test it and amend every year.    But for organic especially you are kinda letting the soil manage itself.

    pH adjustment at scale

water ph adjustment is really only necessary in hydroponic systems.   if you are testing ph you test the ph of your medium, aka what your roots are sitting in. In hydroponics water is the medium so you have to control it. In normal garden the soil / soilmix is the medium so you control it (or...
