    If you're going to use bourbon, I'd bring it to a boil in a saucepan and flambe it. You're not going to burn off 100% of the alcohol, but you'll get most of it.   I've done a few chocolate-based sauces in the past. I came by the idea the same way it seems you did: mole poblano.

      I've noticed that myself, especially with the supers. When my plants are nutrient-deprived and or drought-stressed, the pods tend to not only be smaller and fewer, but the shape is often off, and I don't see the bumpiness that I do when they're getting everything they need.

    I'd let it run, assuming you can safely transport it when you move. Worst case scenario, you have to prune back a slightly larger plant with slightly larger peppers that aren't going to make it.

      Wouldn't make a difference. Cross-pollination only affects the seeds, not the pepper itself.
