    Smokemaster, happy to read

Mike, Great news for a very dedicated pepper-head.    Congratulations for both beating it and sticking with the treatments.    Great news and perfect time to hear about it.

    BPWilly's 2014 grow

I hear you there.  The first year I filled up the front formal dining room for 3 months with shelving, lights, plants and fans, etc.  She was very happy when I got them in the ground, but not happy when I also took up half the outside deck with the 5 gallon bucket planters!   Had to cut that...

    BPWilly's 2014 grow

bucdout57,  Sorry for the delay,  been out of pocket lately working on the property.   I am not sure I ever tallied up the cost.  The lights were pretty cheap T8's from Walmart, and bulbs in bulk from Home Depot, helped keep that cost down.  The racks the plants are one were some shelving that I...

    The Pacific Northwest GLOG 2015

I love the scientific approach, as well as the use of low paying labor!   Great documentation of the process.   I like your 3 ring binders with the seeds in individual sleeves.  Makes it look pretty organized.  I need to do something similar so I can make these important 2015 decisions!   Nice...

    Devv's 2014- Stick a fork in me, I'm done....

Scott,   Thanks for the tip.  I will try a bit lower temp for 2015.  My older dehydrator has been running non-stop for a few months now, so I decided to get a new one that is a bit easier to set the temp on as well as seeing if it will dry things a little faster.  I can say that the smell of...

    PaulG 2014

I agree that is a great idea.  But I have no idea what powders really go for now days, since I rarely purchase much, unless it is something that is really unavailable.  Including the powders in a nice shaker set like that should up the asking price a bit.  Sure would make a nice present to any...

    Devv's 2014- Stick a fork in me, I'm done....

Scott, Sharing the heat.  The popcorn one is a favorite of mine.  I still need to work on how I dry pods so the color does not get as washed out.  But at least they do not lose heat!     A while back I dried out some pods that had been frozen and the pods dried out almost translucent.  Keep...

    BPWilly's 2014 grow

Scott,   Glad you like it.  Just felt like sharing since I have had such good luck growing the past few years.  Hope you like them, let me know what you think.  It is always hard to judge your own stuff.   Bill

You might have to expand that garden space for your 2015 grow!

    The Pacific Northwest GLOG 2015

Wow,   I am feeling like I am behind now.  I have been pontificating what my grow list will be, but every time I make a list, it gets too long.  I promised myself that I would cut back a bit, so I need to knuckle down and get that list built.    Jim,  thanks for kicking off this Glog for 2015. ...

    Devv's 2014- Stick a fork in me, I'm done....

Scott,  It is about time you took a break.  I know I have had a lot more time on my hands since the peppers got pulled up.  You sure are setting the stage for your 2015 grow.  Can't wait to see how the garden goes.   Enjoy some time off! Bill

Wow,  I got a nice care package from Paul as well today.  Nice looking selection of powders.  Going to try these out soon.   Here is a picture of the surprise I received.   Looking forward to try someone else's powders.  Thanks so much for the extreme kindness.  This will spice up the holidays.

    BPWilly's 2014 grow

Jim   No I have not tried it.  It just sounded good.  I am always ready to defer to someone that has actually tried it out, so I will surely check out the toffee.  Thanks for the feed back.  My poor overweight body can only take so many unneeded calories trying out all the good sounding recipes...

    BPWilly's 2014 grow

It is great tasting.  The recipe sounds weird, because to also have onions in it, but it really does taste great.   I did break out the Congo-Cranberry Jam today for Thanksgiving, and it sure did go well with Cream Cheese on Crackers, while my team was wining! "Go Hawks"   The heat surprises...

    PaulG 2014

I agree Paul.  Each pod is definitely a victory.  It feels like a good accomplishment to grow these peppers in a climate that they are not native to and is so different.  I did not mean to make it sound like it is not a good plan,  Heck, I was very pleased to get the ripe ones I did, just that I...

    favorite Favorite Jammin' Peppers

My 2 cents (for what it is worth)   Black Congo  (of course!),   Fatalii,   Bahamian Goat,  Big Sun Hab,   Yellow Brain Strain,  Scotch Bonnets,  Manzanos or Rocotos,   Aji's (only tried Lemon drops so far).   I have not tried, but think that Nagabon's would be great as well.  I figure any...

Red MOA Scotch Bonnets Community Grow

I will be watching.  Looking to see what folks think about the taste of these compared to the Yellow MOA.   Now someone just needs to mix in the crunchiness of the Bahamian Goat. I love the flavor of the MOA and get a real kick out of the crunch of the Goat.   Dreams, dreams!
