fertilizer What Fertilizers do y'all use?

I think what solid7 is saying is this. It's easier to use a well rounded media that you don't really have fuck with. Instead of.. Using a subpar media you have to constantly tinker with. In my experience, if I start a "season" (cuz we really have those in FL :) ) out with new media (like I...

fertilizer What Fertilizers do y'all use?

There in lies the problem.   You're not looking to complicate things and want to keep it simple. You're not going to get an Explain it like I'm 5 answer while keeping it simple-necessarily. Sure you can have a list of what to add and put in but the way that it works might get a bit complicated...

fertilizer What Fertilizers do y'all use?

There's a lot of people here with waaaaaayyyy more expended knowledge on this subject than me.   I keep the shit simple though. Jungle Growth potting mix. Added perlite. That's it. The soil comes loaded with ferts.

    growing in south Texas

Aphids are easy to deal with unless you've become infested. They then become a pain in the ass. Others on the forum swear by cold pressed neem oil. I however prefer to use Dr Bronners pure liquid Castile soap. Mix it up in water and spray her down.

    growing in south Texas

I'm in Central FL. We're on almost the same latitude.   Shade brother. Shade. If I can't move my plants somewhere where they can catch early morning sun and part shade the rest of the day then I construct something.I prefer the morning sun because it's nice and bright but not scalding like...

Importance of Shelf Stable for 1 lb Batch??

Most videos are presented to the preparer as the end user aka an at home meal either by yourself or with friends with the intention of almost immediate consumption. This presents much less risk in the realm of food poisoning etc .   It's a different thing entirely to make a sauce with the...

Should I Top These Peppers Now?

If it were me, and I had no way to trellis or support it outside I'd top it. However- lemon drops will get bushy and produce mass amounts of pods if topped. At least mine always have. I had one that I topped and it got so bushy I had to elevate it like a house plant and allow the limbs to hang.

Importance of Shelf Stable for 1 lb Batch??

    1. You didn't stop the fermentation. Which in and of itself isnt NECESSARILY a bad thing but in this case it COULD be. I always pasteurize to stop the ferment though.   2 .You didn't put it into a sterile vessel thereby inviting contamination.   3. Anytime you add more product to an already...

In my growing experience the most productive for me were definitely Aji Lemon drops and Murupi Amarellas.

    container Question about containers.

Either cloth or plastic. Whichever you fancy. I have a different view set that's usually in direct opposition to most pepper growers. I don't stress my peppers by underwatering. A lot of growers say that peppers like it dry, don't water until it's dry 2 knuckles deep in the soil etc. Dude I...
