Setting that aside aside, however, oranges aren't named for their colour, the colour was named after the fruit. Apparently we had no concept of orange in england until after we bastardised the spanish "naranja" (which became "a norange" before the n got misplaced). This is why a few things (most...

As a fresh pepper it's pretty pleasant. Mild bitterness, but not in a bad way, with lots of subtlety and nuance. Only problem is, of course, the Ghost-like heat making it hard to handle.

I was a little underwhelmed by my JPGSs. Same sort of heat to a red Bhut but the flavour wasn't one that carried as well through meals.

As my plants get bigger, I'm starting to realise just how high my hopes for AJ's white bubblegums are. They look super spooky on his pics but apparently aren't as amazing consistently so we'll have to see. It's agonizing.

CGN 21500 - Why do some peppers have no name?

I don't remember numbers nearly as well as names. Every time I see it I'm like "Ooh, it's that GCN one!" and then "Wait, is it that GCN one?", followed by some frantic googling. If people ever start talking about a second GCN pepper it's going to be pretty rough for me. I would definitely...

CGN 21500 - Why do some peppers have no name?

Apparently goats have a musty aroma that reminds people of certain peppers. I don't get it myself but I'll take any name over a pseudo-random assortment of letters and numbers. Abóbora Roxa sounds good to me but can you give a definitive pronunciation for it?

heat What's the hottest thing you're growing this year?

Update on this: My previous Bhutlah supplier has sent me seeds and told me that their stock of the strain comes from Pepperlover.   Super excited to grow my own death.

"Is it hot sauce for dogs?"

Maybe swap out "capsaicin" for "cayenne" since it's less of a scary technical term and has more health connotations for some reason but yeah, you write a damn good blurb.

"Is it hot sauce for dogs?"

That is way too well written to have been invented on the spot but the one Dog Gone sauce company I found seemed far more human oriented.

"Is it hot sauce for dogs?"

So what you're saying is that I should start the Peanutbutt Pepper Co. and make cheap sauce that tastes like ass?

"Is it hot sauce for dogs?"

Been seeing a lot of this phrase going around and just thought it'd be fun to ask the community, what if it were? What, in your opinion, would you do differently if your target audience wasn't human? How would you cater to the different tastes of a canine consumer? Any thoughts?

So thehotterpepper's still free? Can I make a suggestion? "Ooh Doggy don't touch that record" with a picture of a chilli on a classic turntable for your inevitable fling with the Reaper.

chinense Carolina Reaper pepper causes thunderclap headache

No, Cayenne pills are a diet fad based on the twin facts that chilli eating speeds up the metabolism (for a short while) and that most dieters don't actually want to feel the chilli. So just stick it straight into the digestive system, bypassing the mouth...

    Survey for chili soda!

That's a very limited survey. Should we not be ginving feedback on possible flavours instead so as to help you get a better idea of your customers' tastes? Also, on a less serious note, where's the option for "I already do"?

trade Where’s The Freaks? Let's trade sauces

Was hoping that I'd be relevant with a title like that. Unfortunately, though, my interest in those is not great and shipping to the UK would cost too much.
