Yup, planted new roots in Lacey, just outside of Olympia last October. Not so successful at growing peppers here yet but working on it. Not familiar enough with the area to make any suggestions but if anything comes together google maps can point me in the general direction.

Any chance of this happening this year?

Nice to know they will handle the weather here. I don't have any seeds started yet which is a bummer since the AA take a long time to germinate and start growing. I won't be ready to do anything til around the end of Feb or early March so it looks like I'm falling behind already. No worries...

Aji Amarillo's are one of my favorite peppers. They got up to about 5 feet tall and just as wide in my old garden in Hawaii. This is my first year in Washington so it's going to be a learning season for me this year.

I recently moved to Olympia from Kona, Hawaii. Just starting to plan for next years pepper season. I think I need to invest in lights and heating pad for when I'm ready to germinate my seeds.

It's been a long time since I logged on, good to see THP still going strong. Life threw me a couple curve-balls and I ended up moving to Olympia Washington. Time to learn how to grow peppers all over again.

Temperature steady between 70-85 degrees F? Hopefully someone has better ideas, I got no more.

1st thought is too much water...not enough oxygen to the roots..  But you say root ball looks healthy. If that's the case then too much/too strong fertilizer. Or too hot from lights if it's indoor. Too close to light I think. Looks like burn from moisture on leaves under hot lamps....never used LED's so not sure if that can happen but that's what it looks like to me.
