Who lied to me?! :( Scoville not making any sense!

I know, but the OP has claimed I am wrong for a third time, so I am out according to him.     You lose out on the information I guess.   Ask the OP he seems to know so very much.

Beet juice will turn brown when heat is applied during bottling. Also oxidizes from light, while sitting in the bottle on the shelf. So not beet juice.   Based on its retail price, cost of all ingredients needs to be around 5 to 8 cents per ounce at most. Bottle, label, cap and cardboard case ...

Congrats on covering your basic costs.   Might also want to consider the  wear and tear on your vehicle to deliver and sell your produce. Fuel for such trips.   Next, consider your hours invested in all this and assign a value to your time doing this as a business. Then consider how much more...

Understood about the weeds, but its probably a bad idea to tarp. You are going to allow salts to build up on your grow plots, as you are not allowing the winter rains to help wash these salts deeper into the soil. You are basically replicating a green house or high tunnel situation. After a...

Who lied to me?! :( Scoville not making any sense!

It's actually fairly obvious it is. Sorry I hurt your feelings with knowledge.   "I am the greatest," repeat 10 times you will feel much better.   #tragic #clueless   :)

? Not sure who is salt guy. But I assume it was another member that  contradicted and proved you wrong about something, and now you associate him with me, keeping your wrong streak going even longer.   Easier to say you learned something  occasionally, but whatever to each his own and...

Who lied to me?! :( Scoville not making any sense!

Again, because the ingredient is actually an EXTRACT, not a pepper.   And like I asked earlier, how do manufacturer's sort out their Jalapeno's by  heat to make mild, medium and hot rings?   They don't, they do as I mentioned with no heat Jalapenos.

Who lied to me?! :( Scoville not making any sense!

Ok, but you didn't answer my question about why  only that single ingredient is listed with a percentage, and if the MAIN ingredient is actually VINEGAR, according to your rules and reasoning, that should be listed by percentage and its not. BECAUSE Jalapeno 25% is the name of the ingredient...

Who lied to me?! :( Scoville not making any sense!

Um, ok, Can we apply a tiny bit of logic then ? Why is there only one single ingredient listed with a % then? Why not any other, if its so "common"?   Because its not the percentage of the weight. Its the "name" of the ingredient.   This $1 sauce is made from vinegar, water, extract and gum...

4% is the Capsaicin level in the Habanero EXTRACT they used to produce that sauce, why it is milder than a Jalapeno flavored EXTRACT they used with a 25% capsaicin level in the ultra hot sauce, really very simple to understand. And how it works, in the US, Sweden or Germany where this sauce  was...

Who lied to me?! :( Scoville not making any sense!

Well, that is exactly the point. Truckload #1 is going to have a different heat level, than truckload #2, and even from case to case, and pepper to pepper.   If the truckloads of Jalapenos have no heat, and we wash, slice, then add the heat in the factory, we can consistently make, mild...

Who lied to me?! :( Scoville not making any sense!

25% does NOT refer to the amount or volume of Jalapeno.   It refers to the amount of  capsaicin in the pepper.   You can find jalapeno products that are mild, medium and hot, this is achieved by controlling the amount of capsaicin in the product during the processor stage.   Many food...

    Black hot sauce

One other ingredient to consider is Vegetable Carbon its available in liquid or powder form.   If there is a concern about adding  a seafood/shellfish allergen to a sauce.

    Black hot sauce

A well stocked authentic Italian grocery would have it. You can find on amazon.   Big boost of Umami as well.   Usually, cuttlefish ink the glass jars are the best quality.

Why do you want to tarp your ground over the winter ??     FYI, in many states, a Nursery License is required to sell plants. Inspectors show up at farmers markets looking for violators.   With limited space, you might want to ditch the corn. Think about GARLIC (soft neck) fall plant, spring...
