This pic looks like an aphid lion, or the larvae of a lady bug.  Both the larvae and the adult eat aphids.  

Well, no pictures, yet, but a quick update.   When I repotted my seedlings to individual pots, I pretty much left them outside, so they have been hardening off for weeks now.  I think they are ready to go into permanent pots now, if the weather would cooperate.  The 14 day predication changes...

Welcome to THP Luke.  I've never read that peppers are know for wind pollination, so the wedding bags should work just fine.  Another way, is gluing the flowers shut with Elmer's glue.   As Masher said, you should be fine.    Best of luck with your growing.

You are so right!    But it does give him some time to figure out how to grow them in isolation as, I am sure, he will be saving a ton of seed from them to pass around to fellow Oregonians, Washingtonians, and THPers.

Isn't if funny how people bring the problems with them, when they are running away from them.   Here in Oregon we get Californians fleeing California because they are sick of it.  Then they complain about all the things they ran away from not being here.   

Might be worth overwintering a plant, growing it under lights, for flowering and pods.  It could pay for itself!  

There is no failure.  Just unexpected results.  

Next summer you should grow a bunch of Carolona Reapers and sell them for $5 for 20 grams.  You could make a fortune!

Tell people you can only sell them the Bradfords if they save the seeds and return them to you.  Of course, they will most likely be crossed with your other watermelons. :mope:
