Hey Paul.  Thanks for the info.  I may have to make this cross myself and follow each generation with trying to work out a punnett square for the fruit color, just to try and figure out what is going on with the genes.   Oh, I was in OBC and mentioned the greenhouse panels replacement issue...

Take four crushed extra strength aspirin, cut the top off a raw egg, but the aspirin powder in the egg, and put out for the skunks.  Won't harm a dog, if it gets it, but it supposedly will kill a skunk.  Thins their blood too much.  I didn't check to see if this is just an old wives tell or...

(FYI - I delete them from the quoted text to keep the thread shorter.)   I've been doing some reading on pepper pod color genetics, and the gene for keep a pod purple, like in the PDN is recesive, which is why it doesn't show up till the F2 generation.  Also why Paul keep getting...

Quick update, the PDN x Reaper has one purple plant and five green ones, out of six seeds planted..  Which, while unlikely, is completely possible.   The weird thing is the Reaper x Lemon Drop seeds, 4/6 purple, 2/6 green.  I would have thought all of them would be green.  Either some mixed up...

Yeppers!  There are others who are great at photography too.  He isn't the only one, but man, his plants, his photos, just wow.   I'm embarssed to post pictures of mine right now, they are nothing compared to his, well, to a lot of the people here.  

Pepper-Guru, you are, without doubt, the guru of peppers.  Your plants are just lovely.  Some day, maybe I'll be 1/100th as good as you are at growing peppers.   I tip my hat to you.

Hey Adam,   Since these are F2 plants then it is possible to get green plants this generation.  I'm guessing the purple is the dominate trait, so all F1 plants should be purple. In the F2 generation then 1/4 of the plants should be green (homozygous for the green gene), 1/4 should be homozygous...

Adam, the PDN 7 Pot Caramel pod I got from you, last year, or was it in 2014? Anyway, it is labeled F2, does that mean from an F2 plant, so the seeds are F3?   Anyway, I think it was an old pod, as I planted 10 seeds, and all 10 came up.  Nine purple plants and one green.  I'm planning on...

Didn't grow the Cinder this year, but I did save seeds from F2 pods and F3 pods you sent me last year.  I'll have to grow them out next year.
