    Pruning leaves

I water the base when I water unless I am foliar feeding. If your community plant site has a water source, it may be a well. I would have it pH tested to find out where you stand in that area. Pepper plants prefer an acidic environment with medias and watar/feedings at around 6.2 - 6.4 during...

    Pruning leaves

It is a trick question because it is common for someone to tell you to spray your plants with Epsom salts prior to understanding what your plants really need. as if Epsom salts are a cure all for everything. the moral is never add anything before you know why you are adding it and have...

    Pruning leaves

Exactly and we are just touching on the water. I used water from the hose but store it in a stock tank til the chemicals are evacuated into the air.   Then comes your soil make up, composting , nutrients, soil food web, water quality, pH of the soils and food and water and the list goes on...

    Pruning leaves

I hear and understand your plight better than you. It is difficult to ask about or even decide how you want to grow without knowing all the choices.   1st thing you should address is organic or chemical grow. from there many of your questions are already answered. For instance, you don't water...

    Pruning leaves

Watering and feeding are all questions that if answered do not necessarily apply to your grow and is disadvantageous to apply to your grow blindly. You need to develop your own schedule based on what you plants need for your growing conditions.

[Sep 3] What are you working on this week?

The yearly usual and of course, CHILI-CON. The later is a given from now on.   Oh, and making sure the sump pump does not stop. We are having a deluge here in N. Illinois. This one advantage to container grows is they will drain off excess water  better than ground grown plants.

indoor first time trying to grow peppers indoors

A green house in NC will do you alright. You may be able to over winter them outside with one. I remember winters in Rock Hill and wish I still had those 60° January's.   When I started indoor growing I really didn't have an idea what I needed for a 110 sq ft room so I went with the biggest HPS I...

Stones, sand, broke shell etc.    Your peppers really will do better with a pH of 6.1 - 6.6 with 6.2-6.4 being the ideal. And what I mean by ideal ph Is that of the water and nutrients you feed as well as the media you grow in. Does no good to feed water pH balanced to 6.2 when you media is 7.9.

I just wanted to be sure because you start with 1 and end up with 350 one day.   Now, are you growing reapers because you really like them or because of the hype?   if hype, what do you find you like to eat?

Looks like too much of something you fed. I would do a thorough flush and reduce the build up in the soil. Where is Wiltshire?  Just to understand where in the season you are. Do know what your water and soil pH is?

    Pruning leaves

Pics go far in obtaining the best advice. but based on what you are describing, I would not prune on that size plant late season. Much of your pruning is done in the growth stages to get a desired plant structure.

    Looking sick

Agreed with ^.   many reasons can produce your plants symptoms and in order to even come close to a diagnosis, you need to provide more detail of your grow from the most basic of components to the most unique.
