Planted a couple more veggies, really eager to grow/taste/and pickle the mexican sours!!  

 Got most of the mulch spread out Friday then came the heavy rain. Will do on the micros!  

PaulG, no  problem the micro were entertaining to grow. Might get some of those from Renaissance Farms in the future.                                   These hot sauce bottles crack me up and can only think of Emilio Estevez..... "Yoooo Hoooo I'll make you famous". Got a load of mulch Thursday...

PaulG I got the micro seeds from rareseeds, however the site is down to restock/disinfect the work place. Posted this last night but guess THP website crashed or something and the posts/pics were removed.  

Yes, I'm pretty comfortable with 4gal pots, they produce just enough peppers anything bigger I'd be scrambling to what to do with them all. Although I'm going to plant one of the reapers in the ground and see what becomes of it. If IL weather stays stable is next week, think the lowest its going...

Transplanted Reaper #2 into a 4 gal container. It was a little root bound in the 1qt container but hosed off the soil and gave the roots a small massage to loosen her up!! :hot:    

Tried to post these yesterday, but the net was super duper slow. Transplanted 4.12.20 the blood orange tree is zooming right along. The flytraps are doing awesome, 2 traps on front plant and the plant in the back has 3 traps.    

That giant yellow rocoto bloom is incredible, cant wait to see the pod!

Yesterdays micro tomatoes, the first bite tastes like a cherry tomato then a hint of tartness at the end. Not as good as a cherry but they are ok.    

I know, the plants are starting to crowd me outta the house...haha. Is it ok to PM you i've got a question about a possible cross pollination, never did it before.

Set the bigger plants outside yesterday(80 degrees) for a few hours, really need this last cold snap to pass they need transplanted bad in final container. 4 reapers, 3 AS, and 3 death spirals.    

Did some transplanting yesterday from seeding tray to 4" pots. The reaper is in its final pot 4gal for the season and the micro tomatoes are turning.  

Let's see how this grow goes. I meant germinated instead of sprouted on the pic.The oranges were really good tasting.    

Just to show scale how small these traps are, this is a 3" pot.    

Broke out the Canon T3i with macro lens to get a close up of the flytrap. I thought peppers were slow growers, but the flytrap is super slow.      

The plants are doing awesome. Reaper #3 is the runt of the bunch but have faith in the plant. If it does anything like the runt tabasco plant did last year, it will out produce all other reaper plants.  

CaneDog we in the same boat, I'm struggling for space now and waiting for warmer weather to move them outside!! Plants are looking awesome!!

Here's a picture of the venus flytrap that sprouted. The black is the hull which is about the size of a blackberry seed, very small. I tried to moisten the helmet to free the leaves but it wouldn't give, so just left it alone and let nature take its course. From what I'm guessing the trap...

 Update on the grow.

They are slow to germinate, I planted them 2.21.20 and one finally peeked out of the peat moss 3.13.30. So I guess Friday was a good day after all! The sprout is very small, I'll see if I can get a picture of it.
