Make a hoop house. Also called low tunnel or high tunnel depending on how big they are.
It's basically clear plastic sheeting stretched over bent PVC. Pretty easy and inexpensive to make.
Yes Azamax is stronger than neem. It is used in organic gardening and can be applied up to the day of harvest.
Broad mites cannot be seen with the naked eye, they are very small. You can get a 30x jewelers loop magnifying glass to see them.
But that leaf curling is definitely indicative...
Mites. Get some Azamax. It is diluted with water and sprayed on the leaves. Make sure to do it in the evening so your plants dont burn in the sun.
Specifically broad mites. They set several plants back months a few seasons ago as it took me a long time to identify the problem.
They look great and my mouth is watering at the idea of blistered ShitGums tossed with olive oil, salt, and a squeeze of lemon.
What generation are you on?
Did you buy the plant or start from seed on the goji berry? I started from seed last year but they got crowded out in the garden and died (below a monster gooseberry plant). I understand it takes a couple of seasons to produce fruit when growing from seed.
And are you supposed to dry them first?
I've got a young Pube (it just popped through the soil in the last week) underneath 50% shade cloth but it's getting a full day of sun. Is this OK or is it still too much direct light?
NorCal has been unseasonably cool and Oakland has been cloudy/foggy/smoky with temps in the 70s.
Thanks!
Pick up the pots. After picking them up a few times youll be able to tell how wet or dry they are based on how heavy they are.
The top layer of soil can be dry with heavy mud in the bottom of the pot. I learned this the hard way several years ago.
What do you mean by add that to all my sprouting?
Do you use peroxide in place of water, or a small ratio? I germinate in rockwool cubes in a humidity dome - if I wanted to add peroxide next year, how would I go about doing that?
That does not look like powdery mildew to me. Do you live in an area that grows grapes? Asking because powdery mildew is typically associated with grape growing regions.
It looks like the plants are inside. Do you have a fan moving air?
Definitely not a habanero and I would agree with Black Fatalli that it's a Bishops Crown.
My first season I got what I thought were red habs that turned out to be Bishops Crown. Where did you get your seeds?
Bishops Crown is very mild and tasty (mine had no heat, like a bell pepper) and were...
High tunnel is much easier on install :)
You can also used bent electrical conduit for more stability. You can buy or build the correct bending thing for your high tunnel.
This is a good question, I am also curious. Not sure I have ever had a pepper that was delayed in feeling any heat, but I have had some that reach peak heat a bit later. It is fun when you are already dying and thinking "this f***ing thing is never going to stop getting hotter!"
