Glad you liked the look of the burrito, it tasted great with a bit of sour cream and some guacamole salad. :drooling: It looks like we're pretty much in the same boat weather-wise. Overnight low temps here are consistently around  5 degrees C. I'm thinking I'll plant the Annuums in the next...

    Walchit's Glog 2018

Looking good Andy! I hope the weather has been co-operating out your way... it must be a bit tense this time of year in tornado alley. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

Cheers Adam! It's my "Rick's Red" hot sauce on the burrito, which is tomato based and has Bhuts in it, so d****d good guess! [emoji41] Yeah, her flower beds are really eye-grabbing. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

S'right brother! After getting the root and stem crops sowed I helped the Wife make some hardware cloth cages for our blueberries. We have a resident rabbit that gnawed most of the buds off of them over the winter. Not enough to kill them, fortunately, but enough to hold them back growth-wise...

Truly stellar results Scott! Glad your chiles and 'maters are coloring up. I'd be curious to hear your take on flavor and aroma after adding your soil amendments this year. I think I notice a difference, but wondered if you do to. That BBM looks like it'll really hurt... I'm looking forward to...

    Bhuter's 2018 Glog

If it's not primary growth, it's axillary if it's at the nodes. I don't think it matters what direction it's growing out at. :)       I see what you mean... in a way it's a relief that it isn't Broad Mites, but "Dick-ish" neighbors who spray with 2,4-D can be a bit more than just irritating...

Gittin' 'er done in the garden this weekend... I planted carrots, scallions and beets. The onions and kale I planted last week look fine if a bit dry. We're supposed to get some rain showers tomorrow... boy, I sure hope so. If not, I'll have to water. The Annuums in the cloche have been...

Thanks brother! It feels like each day we get a little closer to our goal of transplanting out.   I'm thinking that this weekend will be time to plant the root and stem crops like carrots, beets and scallion, and maybe even the early lettuce like Black Seed Simpson. :)

That garlic looks really nice Scott! Y'know... the Sicilians say that garlic is better than 10 mothers, and they love their mothers! Lol!

I appreciate the offer, but I think I'll pass. We only have two tenths of an acre around our half of the duplex unit that we can plant how we want, and the Wife has it pretty much filled already. Cheers!

Thanks Scott! I know about the "wall-o-water" trick, but haven't used it before... I might have to this year. It'd be interesting to see if it works as well or better than a cloche. I certainly hope so B3rnd! The same for you. The little Pequin that could is still doing OK in the herb bed. It's...

    Stickman's 2018 Soil Mineralization Glog

It was only supposed to get down to 40 degrees last night, so as an experiment, I planted one of my Tepin chiles in a corner of the herb bed and put a cloche over it that was made from a milk jug with the bottom cut off. It seems to have done the job... the chile looks pretty good this morning...

Thanks guys! We've all been ready for things to finally warm up in the north! Some of my plants need to get outside quickly... there's a little leaf burn at the top of my growdown plant and the Kapias are starting to blossom.   Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

Things are really starting to move now... mint, sage, winter savory and Greek oregano are all putting up new growth. I transplanted a dozen Italian parsley plants in the herb bed and I have thyme and summer savory going in the Aerogarden, Genoese basil and tulsi basil started in flats. When they...

Yeah, it sure has been a cool-ish spring, mostly because of the back-and-forth aspect of it this year. It's still a lot warmer than I remember in June of '64. We had median temperatures on the low 50s for the first week of the month and it did'nt get much warmer until after the middle of the...
