Thanks Simmy! I wonder if they even came from the same cross. Folks over here seem to think it's Matthew's work, and he's neither confirmed nor denied...

Thanks Neil!     Thanks Ryan! I'll probably have seeds available later on in the season...     Cool Simmy! There seems to be a bit of confusion around this variety, and it seems a bit of a challenge to get straight information from anyone...I suspect there may be more than one such crosses...

Matthew Arthur also sent me seeds for a purple C. chinense which seems to go by a couple different names, either "Purple Naga Viper Brain Strain," or "Purple Brain Infinity." I started 12 plants, but gave several of them away, as I have once again way over-sown. Two of them went to my...

Thanks Rick! I've really got no idea about the provenance of the Wartryx. I wouldn't have grown it at all, as I am moving away from super hots, but Matthew was so very generous with his seeds, and, as you said, the fruit seems so very unique and compelling...       Thanks for that Simmy! I...

    Origin of Douglah

+1 what you said, John. I'll never forget my first Douglah, (sent to me by romy6 several years ago) and the hour I spent in a fetal ball on the dining room floor...

Thanks so much for the kind words Adam! I know I've had SB7J, but I honestly can't remember what it was like? I have a huge bag of Wartryx seeds straight from Matthew. If you would like some send me your address on the PM. The germ rate is excellent, and the plants are insanely vigorous, as...

I like to think this is something that will make all the difference, Scott...both in their lives and in the world. Especially that they are learning to build soil with RCW, something that is a very tough sale, at best, with older, more experienced gardeners. But besides all that, and more to...

They could be crossed with Bonda Mahala, too, though...It also tends to fork down low, sometimes. Now THAT would be an epic Caribbean cross! Once your pods color up we will know better:

Those are some lush plants there, Eric! Last year the Papa Dreadies had Forbing Naga on one side, and Bonda Mahala and BTR on the other side...Your pods are shaped very much like Forbing Naga, which also forks very low...

    Growing peppers in Southern States

I live in Northwest Louisiana, where we share the same brutally hot summer temperatures as East Texas...In full sun only C. annuum really produces in the hottest part of the summer. C. chinense basically shuts down any and all production from early August until early October. However, I have...
