13.5% ABV, but not boozy at all. Very solid sipper, with a perfect bitter/sweet profile, and a charred aftertaste.

    food where is Thegreenchilimonster?

I'll post up some brews, then. I just had a couple of good crafties last night. My daughter is doing well. She's almost 8 months, and is saying "dada and mama" now. So cute!

    Back From a Health Sabbatical

I hired a guy to remove the vines off of the back of my fence after I got out of the hospital the first time. I was too scared to go back out there to look at the plants, plus the meds I was on, I wasn't supposed to be in the sun. He spoke Spanish, and said Sumac, but I'm sure it also could...

    pics Harvest

My step dad picked these from my garden when I had just got out of the hospital in September. It must have taken a lot of work to harvest all of these! This will mostly hold me off through the Winter. Aji Limo, Scotch Bonnet, aji dulce Peruano, Rocoto.

    Back From a Health Sabbatical

You may remember me from THP over the past few years, but I've been offline for the past couple of months. I got annihilated by poison sumac this September, which lead to a full on cellulitis infection. It was horrific, and although my case was severe, I'm still gardening. After a few stays...

Aji Oro, Aji Largo, Gelbe Riesen, Guatemalan Red Rocoto, Rocoto Arequipeño, Giant Red Arequipa Rocoto, Ecuadorian Red Rocoto, Turbo Pube, Santa Natalia, Rocoto Peru Cusco, and Mini Red Rocoto are some of the varieties that are very productive for me in NoVA

    Anyone grow Rocoto's in Virginia

Yeah, I grow lots and lots of rocotos in Virginia. You just have to try growing several varieties, to see what works well in your area. There are a good 10 or so Pube varieties that I've found to truly thrive here in NoVa.

IDK exactly how big, I don't have time or energy to measure my plants. I'm 6'3" (1.92 meters), and the plant is pretty big to me. Most importantly, pepper plants don't get crazy root bound in fabric pots, due to the quality aeration. 8 gallons is too small IMHO, if you want to get good...

This Rocoto Santa Natalia is fully mature, and an absolute beast of a plant. I've picked a good 20 pods off of it this season so far, and it just keeps on kicking out fresh pods! This is growing in a 15 gallon pouch, and is seriously massive. I'll be growing this one again next year for sure.

Thanks, gotta love Cuban food! I could have really used some patacones or tostones on the side, but plantains are super loaded with carbs.
