    Mini indoor, revised

2018-10-23:   The Rocoto plant has produced arbout 15 flowers, no pollen, no fruit, flowers falling. Can't say whether normal as no prior experience with pubescens.     RH ~50%, temp: 22C. When my chinense were dropping flowers without pollen the rh was lower and nowhere have I read so far...

    Mini indoor, revised

Sunday update- 6th of October, 2018.   -The rocoto plant is looking to produce its first flowers it seems and is striving to construct a canopy. Whether there is enough room in the tent or in the pot for fruit perhaps only time can tell..? I keep its inline fan off and the small inside fan on...

indoor Grow tent ventilation around the clock critical?

Cheers for the additional input. Humidity inside the tents will be tricky as sub-zero temps outdoors will come and go, and when they do central heating makes sure dry lips, static discharges occur as well as an ambient rh at around 33% at 20C but then comes the rainy day and +9C outside and the...

indoor Grow tent ventilation around the clock critical?

Hey CaneDog,   That last sentence makes sense to me - for yes, humidity will be an issue, in that the levels will drop come winter. I plan to have a small humidifier running in the bedroom because else, from experience, the rh will be around 30-35%. I imagine the rocoto plant will become quite...

indoor Grow tent ventilation around the clock critical?

Thanks for your advice, will continue shutting it off at night and opening the tent flap (while the lights are out). (Ambient temps won't raise above 20C for the next six months or so)

indoor Grow tent ventilation around the clock critical?

Hello,   Ponder a 60*60*140cm grow tent with a small fan blowing in at the ventilation hole and a 100mm inline fan sucking air from the top. The small fan is tied to a timer and the lights which means off around 8hrs during the night.   The inline fan was meant to operate 24/7..however, the tent...

    Mini indoor, revised

There must be hardly any place for a bed in the bedroom or what do you mean?   In terms of tent vs plant-sizes I've better chances than last year I think but the Rocoto at least can easily outgrow its tent if given the chance to develop more roots. For "this season" the aim is to get the ajis...

    Mini indoor, revised

Hi,   Some may recall the first ever kind of successful indoor grow I made (the glog is on this forum). It was less succesful because chinense like humidity and it took some time before I understood that. With two 10l "hempy buckets" they had too much room to grow and my 80*80*160cm grow tent...

    lek 2018 - reaper - outdoor organic grow log - recipe #1

Really interesting glog to follow. Primary reason being the unusual growing method. It's a stark contrast to my two tents and perlite and vermiculite and woooo-ing inline fans..  it's interesting to read about your more natural methods. The secondary reason being that you don't have a whole...

Growing peppers in the north! Hydro all day everyday.

That looks more automated and tidy than my first grow, which was also indoor in a tent. Did you prune alot or is growth sufficiently regulated by the amount amount of rockwool?   I don't understand the automation entirely- what events do you trigger remotely or is everything per schedule and you...

    Chilidude season 2018

Those aji look pretty happy :  ) Nice greenhouse too.   I was planning on running two aji plants (they're currenty tiny seedlings) in my 80*80*160 grow tent but I'm wondering if they'll be smoshed together even with "only" 4l of growth substrate as most aji plants seem pretty tall and wide.

lighting 80*80*160cm, 55W LED, additional lighting?

Helo,   I've prepped the indoor tent for round two, with the channel fan on top and only a bit of tubing coming into the tent from above(more space inside). Will start with one of these https://www.growking.de/55-watt-led-grow-full-spectrum.html but generation one (I read someplace they mainly...

    Aji Mango

Interesting!   I wanted to try Ajis for this fall (in my tiny indoor space) and one of the two is from the only source of Mango seeds I found: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25-Rare-Organic-Aji-Mango-Premium-Pepper-Seeds-D-23/292267220416   Will be interesting to see what pheno they are if it...

    Window Silly Chili 18

I'll follow your ajis progress since I'm thinking of starting two aji plants in my tent at the end of summer; while heat is relatively doable during an indoor northern hemisphere winter humidity can be trickier. If yours start producing if you put them in trays of water or next to the shower...
