My first "real" indoor grow, unknowns and purple cayenne

Thanks for your comment.   2018-04-03:   Same same, RB x 2 and PC are producing pods very well. The Bhut Jolokia is also producing new pods though not at the same flower rate as the annuums. The 7 pot brain strain is producing flowers seemingly lacking pollen and dropping all of them, no new...

    Chilidude season 2018

Nice shot and setup. As for the quote, it depends on circumstances, possibly, I've no doubt the right amount of sunshine is as effective as anything..I may get some experience with lots of indirect light on my balcony this summer. Have a feeling the HPS will be more effective but we'll see :)

Cool, really interesting thread, as totally opposite of mine weather and indoors / outdoorswise..think I shall try Rocoto in the fall.

    GH flora system-anyone?

I use Floramato and Floramicro as per the instructions on the Floramato bottle. Half strength for soilers. Has worked well so far and never takes very long to mix.

My first "real" indoor grow, unknowns and purple cayenne

2018-03-24:   New experiences     Having embarked on this journey without much prior experience I feel I've learnt quite a bit, both from reading here and by doing the work.   Was glad for the above little harvest and yesterday I tried the first one-tenth of one of the Jolokias on a pizza. It...

My first "real" indoor grow, unknowns and purple cayenne

Thanks for the suggestion.  I meant mostly what the forum does to uploaded files but it isn't every file, only some. May try linking to Flickr some day : )   For today, 2018-03-18, I have a cellphone shot of the first harvest. One of the 7 pot brain strains has been ready for quite some time...

My first "real" indoor grow, unknowns and purple cayenne

2018-03-14:   Acquired a new lens and tried it out. I don't suppose there's a choice of compression level for the files I upload? They become quite artifacty (at least the 7-pot-brain-strain ones for whatever reason :) ) I understand the need to keep things compact however and one can always...

My first "real" indoor grow, unknowns and purple cayenne

Chocolate: interesting! Can't exactly picture how it would work. Did you start already?   2018-03-10:   -The earthers are watered every 48hrs, the others once or twice a week.   -The Royal Black in earth is smaller than the one in a 5 l hydro bucket..I can however not reach the 5 l RB's flowers...

My first "real" indoor grow, unknowns and purple cayenne

2018-02-24:   No more fruits on the two chinense transplants. If you feel that you know what kind they are from the photos below-  do chime in! i Think the current fruits developed when the inside of the tent was above fifty for around two weeks (+ celcius out and large humidifier in apartment)...

    Dinsdale - Season 1 : "First Contact"

Wow, that is impressive. Yield looks rather optimal. My tent looks like a jungle with the occasional fruit.. humidity for chinense and too much root potential I think.   What do the golden cayenne taste like? Not only "hot" I hope? (Am getting a few purple currently).

    Chilidude season 2018

Really cool, am I understanding it correctly that you fill the pots with nutrient water which proceeds to travel through the clay wall and on to the matt underneath the seedlings?

My first "real" indoor grow, unknowns and purple cayenne

Thanks for your comment!   Yep, this has been a pretty eventful learning curve so far. Like the other night I noticed that a Tempur pillow I had placed against the window frame in the largest room (the tent is in my bedroom) had grown moldy and there was mold along the wooden frame..this because...

My first "real" indoor grow, unknowns and purple cayenne

2018-02-17   Close call   So far my experience is such that I will likely not use soil again in a similar setup, since a day of getting home too late from work to have much energy can leave them looking very sad. Luckily there's not an immediate extinction event now that they aren't seedlings...

My first "real" indoor grow, unknowns and purple cayenne

2018-02-11:   "Chinense"   -The two trees are taking over my grow tent and more flowers are forming pods and more ugly little white flowers are appearing everywhere (10L hydro is massive overkill for this tent)   -No flowers have aborted on the purple cayenne yet, they seem to be developing into...

    Essegi 2018

Love the sunbathing Rocoto shot with the dog and the cat with ears folded backwards : )   (I could have taken mine out for some sunshine in -10C and snow earlier this week but I don't think they would have approved)

My first "real" indoor grow, unknowns and purple cayenne

2018-02-03:   "Minolta MC Rokkor 28/2 and a defined list of suspects"     The first fruit on the bushiest transplant (one of the two unknowns, both of which are in 10l buckets and hydro, I will not use 10l buckets for this nor pots of soil next time) is beginning to show a different color than...

Hi, interesting to see a rocoto plant, looks almost like tomatoes :  )   Had too lookup Datil, seems like a nice plant "like a habanero but fruitier and sweeter taste" as per wikipedia.   I suppose you place them outside come spring and develop indoors until then?

    Chilidude season 2018

Like a jungle for sure : )   Here's hoping for a good summer in our part of the world (and a miteless one..)   Interesting to read about FloraMato and FloraMicro, seems like a very good combo.
