Pics please! :cool: I bet you could grow carrots or other root crops in a flood and drain type set up. You'd probably need to use a really lightweight and loose growing media.

The plant looks like it is in a black pot inside the square pot. If the roots are contained within that, they may not have access to the nutrient solution as the drip ring is outside of that. What is the purpose of the extra pot?

I have a unit like that one and I run the pump 24/7. The blue tube that shows the water level will let enough light in to grow gunk. You can get a piece of black tubing that will slide over it to block the light. Just pull it off to check the water level and put it back on to help keep it clean.

OK, I voted. As a relative newb to pepper growin' I may have to concede in the skill dept but what usually works best for me is luck. I can be very lucky when need be. :D

Rules? What rules... I'm thinking anything goes. We both have the same seed and planted same day. As many plants as you want grown in dirt, hydro, zero gravity, whatever. First ripe pod wins. How 'bout loser springs for a bottle of sauce from a THPer such as Justaguy, SalsaLady, etc...
