very nice set-up you have there.. gives me a idea on what 9 plants under a 400W light will look like. I think if I keep the plants trimmed and keep each plan1 in a 18" x 18" area I could fit 9. Worst comes to worst I guess I could always boot up the 1000W but i think that would over kill for 9...

Hey, I finishing up my basement set-up and I'm trying to determine how many plants I can fit down stairs. currently the plan is to start the seedlings in a closet set-up which it 20" x 4' with 8 x 40W floro's (4 x Cool White, 4 x Plant Ones.. purplish colour)... I plan on keeping the plants...

How far do you think the plants have to be? I was thinking that the fan would cross pollinate the plants if close enough together.

Hey, I plan on growing some plants in my basement for the winter and was'ted some Isolation ideas If I wanted to grow more then one type. Originally I was just going to group 6-9 of the same plants but would really like to grow 3-4 different varities that I can save seeds from for the summer...

I'm mostly looking for ones with neat/different looking flowers ... but the rare/uncommon ones also have appeal. I'll be creating Bonchi's in the near future and Wild's seem to work best. I'm also looking for uncommon hot peppers just for regular growing next year because I love to grow all...

Ahh my bad. Ussally when people say closet grow its 3x4ish which would be dangerous. 12x12 is plently of room :)

a 1000W in a closet can get very dangerous. Plus if you are just overwintering 3-4 plant It would be best just to cut them back and use a 400W as they dont need as much light when over wintering. Just an idea. --James
