    Anyone growing mushrooms?

Good point Potawie I forgot about the logs, It would be cool to have a log down the side of the house growing mushrooms for a few years. I wonder what other mushies could be grown in the bleached newspaper, or to the point what could be added in with the paper to enable other forms of mushies...

    Anyone growing mushrooms?

Can't say I'm having any luck with the plain old button mushrooms but the oyster mushrooms are starting to grow. I made a base of shredded paper that was soaked in bleach. Ive put them in an old seed starter so that its nice and humid, so far they seem rather happy.

    overwintering Tim's bonsai winter project

I think all of the plants are at least three years old maybe four so I hope they make it Had a play around with the Y7, I didn't have any cutting compound to add into the cut so I'm guessing it will die off but it will be cool if the upper branch lives.

Long time. Been busy but I bit the bullet today and bought a starter kit. I've split the kit into two separate lots. The starter medium was totally live :) :) not sure how to put it but it's all white and looks very much alive. I also dumped a bag of mulch into the used starter kit bag for a...

    BONSAI !

@ titusza1, I was thinking of chopping it down a bit as it does look a bit off with the tall trunks but I'm a bit worried about sealing off the cuts, this plant seems to die off for a good inch every time I chop the main trunks... Whats a good way to heal a cut? I also chopped up a very large...

    BONSAI !

Yep, I have a plant thats easily 30-40mm at the base but I'm guessing it would be too tall to bonsai up. Or do you mean a bonsai chilli plant from scratch and have it grow out a thick trunk.... Can't answer that one.

    BONSAI !

Say you had a plant all Bonsai'd up for a number of years then collected seed from it and grew some plants, I wonder if the plants would be slightly dwarfed or the opposite
