What are the differences between these strains from those that have grown more than one? Does any particular strain have a better taste? The JHC seems to be larger than the others perhaps, from what I've seen.
From what I can tell that looks more like a Douglah which seems to be more maroon and the actual 7 Pot Brown looks like a Chocolate Hab. SO I'm guessing that is a Douglah.
LOL fair enough. I ended up hanging it about 18-24 inches from the tops of the plants due to height variance. What would be a more typical distance for brand new seedlings (for future reference)? I figure it has to be fairly shorter, or maybe not?
You're making me worried about the coverage now...
I'm growing some 7 Pot Brown this year and I guess those aren't the same so I am in search of the true Douglah seeds, the ones that look more maroonish than straight brown. I can either pay for them or we can do a trade.
What is the optimal distance to keep my light from the tops of the plants? If it makes a difference my grow area is approximate 5.5'x3.5'. I figure there must be an optimal distance with the light centered directly in the area in which all the plants can get optimal coverage with dispersal being...
Yikes Cappy, your photos make me drool and reach climax at the same time LOL Love the label pics too, especially the second one down. Hope I can get a bottle of your sauce!!
This looks like one I am going to need a plant of next year. As far as leaving the pods on the plant, from what I gather you can just leave them on and they will still ripen even if frost comes and kills the plant. Not too sure on that but think I read it somewhere? Can anybody confirm or deny...
1. Grow everything in pots. Almost all my plants in the ground did horrible. Mostly due to 1 month of storms with bad drainage and very hot and humid weather for 2 months straight, but I'm not risking it again.
2. Start seeds in January. Will be using a 400W HPS starting in a few days here to...
wordwiz and redeyes...I checked that site out. Looks like some great deals on there! Do you guys think it is worth it to get the Lumatek Digital ballast kit? My goal is to keep this at, around, or below $300. I do not plan on setting up an air cooled bulb so will the cheapo MaxWing reflector be...
This is the system I am looking at by the way...

The rectangular reflector seems best since my area will definitely be rectangular.
Also, is it really worth it to spend the extra $57 on a higher quality bulb or will the standard...
I am planning on getting myself a 400W system to keep some plants growing over winter. I plan to keep them in an area of around 4'x4' or 3'x5'. What is the best shape of reflector to use for this? Can anyone send any links so I can see exactly?
Also, how much will this affect the electricity...
I just found your thread SV. How did the pods end up looking on that hairy plant you almost threw away? I ask because I have an Onza plant that has the same hairy character and looks very similar. Perhaps that is what it is.
