I'm growing a Thai pepper bonchi indoors so that I can pick the peppers to eat in the kitchen.   A carnivorous plant sounds useful in the house too.

  Go USA!       I have a bottle of water with a tiny hole punched the top of the lid using a safety pin.  Put it upside down into the soil... and forget about it.  it slowly drips water, maybe like a ml a day...  i gotta punch more holes in it, it's too slow...  anyways, something to think about.

  i don't know if these are rat turds (what kinda name is that for a pepper) but, I could send some of these seeds to you.       the germination rate is superb too, i think i have about 7 of maybe 7 or 8 that sprouted.     inbox me if interested.
