ok cool well you dont want to overwater them. Yes I would give 5ml/1L water, but wait til they need it (start drying out or perhaps give a light foiliar spray). Make sure they are getting enough air curculation too. I usually have my lid off near that stage or all vents open.
i was gonna say like the knife idea too!
Iwould wait until they have 2 stes of true leaves and a bit bigger than the scotch bonnet pictured. Pot on too early and they can rot from being too moist and it can set them back cos it takes longer for them to spread their roots.
If they are just in...
pretty easy, heap of recipes on the net.
Or easy home way: just get half water and half vinegar, pop them in a jar in the fridge. (note: don't leave outside of fridge if not treated properly eg. proper heat and canning techniques).
thanks im glad i was the recipient.
ive been trying to do good deeds too, now karma is paying off :)
Thanks to Gas I will have a few seeds in a few days to get started on and then mid west is sending me some also which will probably arrive in a few weeks. Looking forward to some big poppers...
yep even my adult plants. The garden beds are situated in all day sun anyway so they need protection. The shadecloth allows the morning sun to come through and protects them in the arvo. They hate the afternoon sun without any protection. I've even overwintered last years plants in a shadecloth...
ok thanks Micca, will have a look. Next time ask me to look after your plants :)
Gas I grow mine under shade cloth. Those ones actually produce better than ones in full sun.
thanks Micca. Sorry I didn't come round the other weekend, got really busy and then forgot. Is it still cool if I grab it off you? I'm coming past your way Wed morning.
What a beauty! Unfortunately we dont have any of them hanging around, our dogs would eat them :( My mum has one at her place that was a bit sick so she looked after it and fed it and its doing great now. She doesn't have any snails either!
yeah i love poppers wrapped in bacon and thought these would be easier to work with. I really like the tinned ones better so might even make up a heap of pickled ones if I can grow enough and that will last me through winter. I would by them off Nicky's but by the time they get here that'll be...
