Looking great Adrian! I'm in Melbourne also and my plants are a little behind yours. I grabbed the same heated propagator from Bunnings too. Good luck with your grow!
Its easy for the vendor to get them mixed up given they have thousands of seeds. Im not worried in the least, looking forward to the surprise :)
I agree with the OW, I will just leave them from now on, then maybe do a little cut back before summer like you mentioned. We don't have it as bad as...
Thanks mate! Ill be sure to post some pics with homemade pizza. I am looking at going fishing a bit this summer, I have been slack the past couple of years. I want to start cooking some Murray Cod with superhots. I am tipping some pan seared cod with chilli would be perfect. Here is a few pics...
Just a little update, not much happening down here in Melbourne. Happy to get a few true leaves.
Yellow 7's after speaking with Cartz I totally agree, seeds that you save tend to get the best results in terms of germination. These Yellow 7's are popping like crazy. 100% germ rate, and will...
I am very interested in this topic now after our discussion earlier on my Glog :)
Here is another pic of my Bih Jolokia (pepperlover). The pods are a little lighter in colour then I remember, however, not as pale as yours above.
Oh really? I didn't know that. I wouldn't say they are ridiculously dark green, but definitely not pale whatsoever.
They pack a fair bit of heat, I would say slightly more then the yellow 7's I grow. It bumped out about 65 pods, I have overwintered it successfully I assume (we had a mild winter...

I usually throw the peppers in the vinegar and water mix and let it come to the boil. They will change colour, then test regularly till you get the required level of resistance you want. Once you have reached this I then put them in sterilised jars. I'm not sure why people tend to first put them...
small update. Got some nebru, bhut x mayan red and primo x choc had seeds from Cartz which I just put in dirt, excited for the nebrus in particular! More seeds popping everyday.

Yellow 7 for me, birds eye for the mMs
cheers
Oh nice, its such an awesome plant to look at. Its nice to have a chilli (every now and then) that doesn't blow your head off 100% of the time. I will be sure to grow is next time round.
I thought I would be waiting for a while for those seeds. The pods looking amazing.
Just wondering what was your favourite chillies in all these colours? (flavour and heat)
For me (limited by varieties I have tasted):
Red: scotch bonnet
Yellow: 7 pot
White: Peruvian habanero
Orange: habanero
Green: Jalapeno (prefer ripened red jalapeno however)
Purple: NA
Brown: habanero...
