Hottest Chilli in the World Being Grown in Grantham, Lins (UK)

I think they guy said that his plants got ruined last season so the crop was a no go. Supposedly he's got them up and running again this year so I guess we'll find out in the summer what the deal is. I have a strange feeling we'll never hear about it again.

Wow, my 8 week old plant is already flowering?

that's definitely a tall plant for 8 weeks (and in such a small pot). Be careful of root bound issues. I also saw a lot of budding starting to happen sooner than expected just after 8 weeks. That's quick progress. Nice.

    Jacob's 2010 Season

i'm envious of your plant out time. 2.5 weeks? that's great. man, you've got a tonne of nice looking plants happening. Any problems or drooping with the hardening off so far?

    sun Sun burnt plants

nothing to lose in trying. plants sometimes show the ability to bounce back when all hope seems lost, so give it a go.

    AcidRain23's 2010 Peppers

you may want something to keep the plant in place, especially with the branch on the right. Once it starts producing pods the weight will drag it down even more. doesn't hurt to throw a stake in there to keep things under control. cool to see you didn't give up on it and got it taking off.

Hello from Mike the Hot Sauce Guru

hey Mike. Welcome to the forum. I've seen a bunch of your videos and it's good stuff....especially the Jalapeno one! Poor Josh...gotta give him credit though for stepping up to the challenge and providing some balance. Chile head vs. non-chile head is pretty entertaining. what are some of...

    Ballzworth 2010 Grow Log

yeah I have a spreadsheet set up that I've been recording in detail all the progress (seed planting date, germination date, all pot up dates and to what size etc). I'm also going to grow a few kinds all season in 1 gallon, 2 gallon, 3 gallon and 5 gallon containers (Bhut and Scorpion probably)...

    Silver Surfer's 2010 Grow

that is one sweet setup. truck load of peppers, tonnes of space, tonnes of sun. Can't ask for much more than that. Very nice.

    Ballzworth 2010 Grow Log

lol. so we're even for me being jealous of the lighting rack you built!! I'm making something like that a priority for next year. My plan was to go with 1 gallon pots....in fact I already bought 25 of them and was looking for more when Madhatter tracked down the 2 gallon pots for cheaper than...

    Plant out question

cross pollination is always a risk, but odds are still fairly slim that it will cross, even when taking no precautions. To eliminate as much risk as possible you could do something like what Jacob mentioned. Some kind of covering (tea-bag/netting). Nobody likes an unpleasant surprise from...

To Pinch or not to Pinch?

it's not problem to save them if you want to. I've never had a problem saving two or three seedlings that were germinated in the same pot, but once the roots start expanding too much they'll get tangled up and it gets tricky to separate....but even then I've had success. Give it a go, just...

    Ballzworth 2010 Grow Log

Progress update: I've been potting up quite a bit to 2 gallon containers. Since I have about 2 months to go I think plants will be loving the extra space instead of the 1 gallon pots I originally planned on. I've already cut odd dozens of buds, so these will be massive come plant out. 10 2...

    Pepper Joe's

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be pretty pissed if I bought all that from him (wearing his wife beater tank top and all (ha!).....with higher than average prices....and Canadian shipping on top) to have them turn out un-true. I also got my Caribbean Reds, Scotch Bonnets, Jamaican Reds and a...

    Squat or Tall nursery pot?

Tall is always good. Think about the top space where roots don't grow, and if it's wider, that's even more space they don't grow. Although 7 gallon is big no matter what so I'm not sure how much it would affect you. If you said 3 gallon I'd say tall for sure.

    Pepper Joe's

Is the Tasmanian Hab not real? Neil tested it and it sure looked like the real deal (Hippy Seeds sells them as well). Pepper Joe and Hippy Seeds list it as chinense but is it not? If it's not then consider me another victim of Pepper Joe's. I have to say though, when he lists it as "A...

    Aji Limon

hey captain. Here's a pic of the chinense "limo". I'm no expect on all these 'lemon' differences but to me it looks like the article you posted is really about the Aji Limon (the picture sure looks like it is). I looked up a bunch of stores that sell the Limo and they're all listed as...

container plant sizes and container sizes...

Thanks Jacob. Even with the shipping charges, it's definitely cheaper, but I know there's brokerage charges on top of that at the border....just not sure how much it would be. If it's only $20 or something then I'd be on board in a second. I'll look into your link. Thanks again.

container plant sizes and container sizes...

Nice score PRF. I've found it pretty hard to find nursery pots here. All the prices you guys are quoting would be great. $54 for 50 5 gallon pots? I wish I could find that!, Even ordering online, I can't find any suppliers in Canada. The only ones I can find are at Rona...$3.50 for 3...
