Stickman's 2013 Glog - Time To Pull The Plug on 2013

My Peruvian Purple has quite a few blooms on it, but hasn't set any pods yet.  It's too early to decide if it will be a good producer for me yet, but I remember you mentioning that yours was lanky.  Mine is very compact and bushy.  The seed came from Seeds of Change.   I ate Kimchi for the first...

    Roper2008 2013 Grow

Linda, your plants are really loaded down!!!  Have to admit I have Scotch Bonnet envy.   My plant is just barely alive, and my Jamaican Hot Yellow turned out to be a NOT, so it looks like the only hot yellow pepper I've got going is "The" Fatalii.     Can't wait to make my first batch of pepper...

Stickman's 2013 Glog - Time To Pull The Plug on 2013

I am just amazed at the massive amounts of poddage you've got going on.  Everything is so lush and green.  To make myself feel better, I scrolled through my 2012 glog to reassure myself that my plants will eventually fill out and get serious about putting out some pods.  If we could get a shower...

    contest Growdown,,Tallest plant!!!

I live at over 5600' above sea level, so I LIKE your measuring system.  That's about the only way I'd have any chance of winning!  I vote for SanPatricio's measuring system!!!

    DocNrock's 2013 Glog - 7/11/13

Wow!!!  You got more in one harvest than I got the whole season last year!  The powders look absolutely amazing too!   Haven't tried to catch a rat, but with mice what worked best for us was Nutella.

Stickman's 2013 Glog - Time To Pull The Plug on 2013

Is the Cheiro you're growing Cheiro Recife?  I grew that one last year, and the pods were shaped like that.  Mine started out cream though, then gradually turn a coral - red color.

DesertChris' High Desert Extreme Gardening Glog

Great job on the goat pen garden!  That's a huge area, and I know it took a lot of work to get it ready.  It looks like garden #1 is really starting to take off.  Your tomato trellis is not too far off from the Florida weave technique I'm using.  Really enjoyed the tour!!! Thanks for the update...

Highalt's 2013 Grow - End of Season Wrap Up

WARNING:  NON pepper post.     Most of the towns around us cancelled fireworks due to the high fire danger, but the next town over from us still had there's on July 3rd, which we went to see.  They also had an orchestra playing.  There was a thunderstorm that rolled through, but we waited it out...

Highalt's 2013 Grow - End of Season Wrap Up

Thank you, guys!!!   So I harvested my first Biker Billy Hyb. tonight.  Had planned on slicing it up in the black-eyed peas I was cooking, but when I tasted it, I decided it was too hot for the kids.  Ended up sauteing in a pan and putting it on top of my serving.   As you can see in this first...

Highalt's 2013 Grow - End of Season Wrap Up

Thanks Shane for the picture and explanation!  I'll report back once they start blooming again.   Haven't shown any pics of the veggie bed here at the house in a while, because everything was looking pretty crappy.    I am finally seeing signs of things turning around, so here's a few photos of...

Annie's 2014 Glog: FINAL Grow List before new 2014 glog

After reading your very descriptive review of the Madballz, and, um after effects, I nominate you to do all the female super reviews!   Can't touch that!!!  (she says with a little MC Hammer running through her head)   Your grow seems to be over the hump now, and picking up steam!  Looking good!

Highalt's 2013 Grow - End of Season Wrap Up

GA Growhead, I don't really know the differences between flowers on a baccatum vs. annuum vs. chinense, other than some of the annuum blooms are huge.  Feel free to educate me.  At the moment there aren't any blooms on either of the Bishop's Crowns.  The ones that hadn't set yet, fell off from...

Highalt's 2013 Grow - End of Season Wrap Up

Thanks, Doc!  The Serrano is only about 3" long, the picture is larger than life, LOL.   Pope's Crown!!!  I like the sound of that!  I'll have to save the seeds for sure.   Even though I'm okay with a few mysteries and NONS, I still would like to grow the real deal Bishop's Crown.  You want to...

Operation Golden Garden 2014: Let's Get Started!

Hahaha!  Can't believe you guys fell for that one!      You've been back like what maybe a month now, and your glog is already at 13 pages.  I finally caught up.  Everything looks awesome - plants, pods, seedlings, powder, smoked animal flesh, and now a ferment!!!  Wow, you have got it...

Highalt's 2013 Grow - End of Season Wrap Up

Whew!!!  The official high today was 101, but the thermometer here at the house read 105.  I'm sure some buds and blooms will drop today, but hopefully I've kept everything well enough watered to survive the heat.       :fireball:   Thanks, Matt, Chris, and Peptacular for the nice comments!

Highalt's 2013 Grow - End of Season Wrap Up

Hmmm ... well the plants were under a lot of stress right after plant out.    Guess I'll have to wait and see what the next few pods look like before I label him a NOT for sure, but you are right that mine doesn't look quite right!
