    disease Over watering?

Hi all, The chillis were good-looking but after repotting most have this condition. I'm thinking of being sat in a big pot of wet soil not drying out quick enough? It's been very mild here in the UK the last months. Almost 7 deg Celsius at night (i know chilli's don't like it below 5 celsius)...

    pests Fungus gnats!

''gnaturally'' lol Keeping the plants healthy & vigorous is another good tip. My poly tunnel is full of holes, so hopefully, lots of good insects get the chance to keep the bad ones in check.

Exploring what it takes to start a pepper jelly business

I like it on the sour side, so add more vinegar and lots of sea salt. I gently simmered some super hots in honey, i must check it out to see how its doing. Could you add a percentage of honey and sell it as honey rather than jelly/jam :)

Exploring what it takes to start a pepper jelly business

I've been making chilli jam (we call it jam in the uk) for 5 years? And I've never had one go bad. Even the last dregs of the jar still stay edible after many years. Its a good way to preserve chilli's. My favourite was a fatalii based jam with apple & mango

The proper way to do a SASBE

It's probably my growing techniques, as the seeds looked fine and not dimpled like you said.

The proper way to do a SASBE

do you think seeds, even though not visibly crushed, if sent in an envelope without padding will be damaged. Point being ive had terrible germ rates with seeds sent this way 1 out of 40 so far. Or maybe the gnats had an underground feast!

    pests Fungus gnats!

Hi MarcV - i bought some nematodes, and they have worked! i tried mosquito bits/dunks, and they didn't seem to make any difference. Maybe they were old? Im not sure? I wish i had used them initially to kill any potential gnat eggs in the compost and have the soil charged with nematodes as a...

thank you Canedog and Marturo. I hit a tray last night with 1 part HP 3% - 5 parts water and I still found some maggots still alive next day... so I don't think it was that effective? What bio fungicides do you recommend?

    pests Fungus gnats!

Would hydrogen peroxide be too intense for young seedlings? say 1 part HP - 5 parts water. Ive got fungus gnat maggots in my soil and my young seedlings haven't germinated yet and i think many seedlings have been munched before seeing the light of day!
