None of my chilies are hot !!

I grew up and lived in Cornwall for 2/3 of my life...but it wasn't until we emigrated to Australia that i actually considered growing anything from seed! Even my Mum back in the UK has struggled to get anything to grow this year, and she's a hardened gardener....

Nee's first pepper season. (Australia) Pics, vids & banter.. yey! \\(^o^)//

Hi Dave!! I am already guilty of becoming dull, as i've not ridden in a few years now! I stuffed a jump a couple of years back and tore my leg muscle and could hardly walk for about a week. Luckily back then i was still a stay-at-home dad, so there was no pressure to get back to work or...

None of my chilies are hot !!

Naaaa, it's been bad for years! As a kid, living in Cornwall, i remember the summers of really long, hot spells during the summer months. In the 2000's it seemed to totally change, and the summers gradually got worse and worse...to the degree that the year we emigrated (2007) we had 2 "good"...

Nee's first pepper season. (Australia) Pics, vids & banter.. yey! \\(^o^)//

Hi all! I got home from work today and was greeted by a sea of colour from my plants! As you will see from the pics below, the pods that have ripened so far aren't very big at all, but i'm thinking that now the weather is a bit more consistent, that from here-in they should start getting a lot...

Make it spicy! Do you eat heat with every meal?

I'd say i'd add heat to about 80% of the food i eat. I didn't realise it was that high until this thread made me think about it!

Mezo`s "super hots" Glog including the 'big' solar dehydrator.

That Beat-a-bug chilli and garlic spray seems to have worked for the aphids here Mez, although from memory didn't you make your own chilli and garlic spray? Oh yeah, and never let on to anyone what you are good at! When we emigrated to Aust it was like a fresh start for us.... Amber has never...

Well, it was such good fun here tonight... We had a family BBQ and invited all the rellies around....and after a few beers we got talking about the various pepper plants growing at our HQ.... So i pulled a couple of tiny ripe 7 pots and a couple of near ripe Goronongs...which a few people...

Thanks for that Mez... That's what we use at home too, so if the stuff I jus bought (beat a bug) doesn't work, I will give that a go. My works ute now stinks of garlic though, as the lid wasn't done up very well.....argh!

Hi mate!! Sorry, i meant to reply ages ago, but totally got busy with everything and forgot! Sorry to hear about the winds...it was pretty windy here today too, but thankfully my plants are coping with the strong gusts much better now. And good news on the pods...makes the work worthwhile!! A...

Hi Paul.... Well, to be honest, not a lot has happened regarding the tri / quad pods! They haven't gotten any bigger in size, but are starting to go orange and ripen!! This is a weird Fish Pepper for sure, as today i spotted about 10 micro-ripened pods too! They are about the size of a...

    seeds Seedling placement?

It depends on how much decent sunlight you get. I tried a few plants in the windowsill over winter here and they got really leggy (tall and spindly) as they were trying to grow taller to get a decent source of light, so in the end I had to put them under lights.
