Mezo`s "super hots" Glog including the 'big' solar dehydrator.

Started growing stuff as a three year old, my mum was the 'green thumb' in the family & im guessing i got it off her? There is no secret in growing plants, just experience & superhots are a new thing for me & learning all the time. Well its 8am & after my coffee ill start chopping up this...

Cheers James, That's harvest # 4 so id be getting over 2lb a week still, its interesting this year as im keeping tabs on how much produce in weight. So for me personally with roughly (underestimate) 100 good plants im harvesting 1kg a week. Mezo.

Nope never tried making a sauce in my life, ill use that bag of peppers i froze to make some later in the year, thanks for the link. Just picked two weeks worth about an hour ago, weighs in at 2kg so im still getting 1kg a week on average. That lot will use two entire drying racks...

Trippas Organic story of 2012/2013....things could be worse ...

We got hit with the wind as the front approached, lucky the van took the force & sheltered the plants, we had the rain & lightning as well but a big black spot on the radar missed us by two K`s (very close). We lost power as well for a few hours (tree came down on the lines) but came on later...

Thanks Bill, i will have to sort something out soon as i want to smoke some of the crops for sure, its just money is a little tight right now so the soldering iron & bake bean tin may win the day yet. I rang my mum in the UK the other day Jonny & she said it was "bloody freezing"...

Thanks people, yes i used my fisheye lens for the first time in ages. Another movie update taken this evening to show how many flowers i have left on the plants, stacks ! also where i point out Dave`s (3/5Kings) super scorp plant, that was the one if you remember that was a mere snapped off...

Ive been thinking as well, it would soot up the collector window or even melt it? (perspex) it would be easier to build a dedicated smoke house. You could quite easily make this a cold smoker (tin can solder iron technique) and locate it above the collection windows but under the racks. Thanks...

Another load for the drying racks. You can see the ones from a few weeks ago on the top shelf, could do with a bit more drying. No mould though which is pleasing. Mezo.

Its a Yamaha wiring loom from 1983 Sy, hard to find in good condition. The Scorps are just normal size. Cheers, Doc. I only feed them fish & kelp now (all over the plant) the potting mix has slow release ferts & i add some tomato slow release granular fert when i pot them up. Not yet DC...

Funny you should say that Trippa, we just had a few big gusts come through (coming from the coast) & i had just said to Trish "think there`s a storm approaching?" nothing on the radar. I think we dodged a couple of bullets to be honest (ex TC Tim & ex TC Sandra) hopefully that's it for cyclones...

Harvest always seems to come on late here Gas? im only hour & half from Logan mate, Border Ranges National Park. The growing must have something to do with the temperate climate mixed with a sub tropical zone, and then being surrounded by mountains. You need to get out more Gassy this is...

Well over a week has passed since my last update, it rained all week & the weekend but finally its stopped & a few days of sunshine forecast. Had to go to Hospital and found to have a moderate case of Diverticulitis very painful, so im on antibiotics & painkillers, no eating 48hrs, then soup...

I had no problems with any bugs so far (except aphids which im on top off) but certainly no fruit fly, not one? possibly the mountain range stops them coming over the border? Anyhow ive just cropped some more for Danny to take back to Vegas & freeze, i filled a giant snaplock bag (906g or 2lb)...

Well the locals here (old school farmers) get access to the long range 40 day ahead forecasts & its going to ease slightly in a week or so but were in for wet weather until mid April they reckon. We cant even slash the grass as the paddocks are so saturated the tires just wreck it, and then...
