New Grower (trinidad scorpion butch t)

Bonemeal is a source of calcium, if you are giving them Cal/Mag, don't worry about it. Bonemeal is more for soil, not hydro. Like I said last post, I found my butch Ts naturally have crinkly leaves, even though I cal/mag regularly. Yours look fine.Growth rate seems good, these peppers take...

New Grower (trinidad scorpion butch t)

nice setup! as for advice, keep doing what you're doing, looks like its working. Don't worry too much about the crinkly leaves, my butch T has the exact same features, and it gets an ample amount of calcium every watering.

    Anyone like Moosehead?

I love moose head when it's on sale for $20/case. Other than that I can take it or leave it. I've got a buddy for whom it's his go too beer. He emailed a pic of his shed filled with 50 or so empty cases of moose head to their customer service department. Without hesitation they mailed him a...

media Hydroton out of business- now what media?

That sucks, I might try to grab a 50lb bag before its extinct. I just rinse it really well with boiling water and it's re-usable multiple times.

    My grow is EXTREME!

I wondered this as well. I water with city water normally, and add teas as a supplement. I've wondered if the chlorine in the water is killing all the goodies I worked so hard to grow in my teas. I have started to bubble a second larger container of water for a few hours before my tea is ready...

    Tasting Pods

I like to split them down the middle and dry the seeds in the pod, that way I have less of a chance of mixing my seeds up. I also take little 1/4" pieces working my way from the tip of the pod upward. I find the tips don't pack quite the punch that the rest does, probably due to less placenta...

    Not Peruvian white hab...

So obviously this isn't the white hab that I thought it was but any guesses? I thought it may be bulgarian carrot, but its ripening to red so that one is out.

Annuum easier to cultivate than Chinense?

it has been my experience that annums are more forgiving than chineses. I thought it was my climate, but who knows. You should be in prime location to grow either.

    Shima togarashi

freezing will probably kill the seeds unless they were dehydrated first, and even then your germination rate will still be poor

smokers Anyone built their own smoker?

thanks for the advice. I'll save the 8" to make a couple thick ass chimneys to start my charcoal. I've got access to a fab shop and a pro welder. Myself and a few buddies have been meaning to build one for a couple years, its the making of it that gets me the most excited. well that and...
