I look forward to seeing how that Shishito BBG will develope. What's it like, thin walled and wrinkly like the Shishito? How's the heat?

I think you're referencing the wrong artists, this was more of a Milli Vanilli situation.

    beer Being Crafty

I got it at Rouse's. Kind of surprised to see it there. There's usually a huge wait at the brewery on release days, and I'm not really into that. I've heard Grace and Grit was good, been waiting to see it here in Lafayette. I've had a lot of their Commotion, very drinkable beer.

    beer Being Crafty

Picked up a few good ones today. Man, this ghost in the machine was only bottled 6 day ago, great stuff! Might have to run and pick up a few more packs while it's still here.

chinense Carolina Reaper Has the Record Again?

The problem is not that he crossed something with a Primo, it's that he just grew out the Primo. He hasn't crossed anything. It'd be fine if he actually crossed a Primo with something else and created his own pepper. But, I don't think that's what happened.

    pics Harvest

I have grown both. Shishitos are thinner walled and more wrinkly. There never seem to develope any heat, even when ripened to red. They work really well for the quick blistering/grilling that most people do, as they are so thin. Padrons are a bit thicker. And the ones I grew definitely had...

    TheGreenChileMonster 2018

    185. I'll be happy to see you pick them all. Last year, after each harvest from the rest of my plants, I would walk by the Aji Charapita and just pretend like I didn't see it. So, now I'm growing it again from all the volunteers that popped up.

    breeding Hybrids Going Bad

I assume you're talking about cross pollinating flowers? Then yeah, a whole lot of them won't take, I experienced this last year. I would try with every available flower on the plant that was at the right stage at that time. Just know that a good percentage of the time, most of the ones you...

    Aji Charapita Peppers

I really don't think anyone would pay anywhere near this. These are just peppers that anyone can easily get the seeds for, and easily grow. You can even get them from Baker Creek seeds, and everyone and their mother gets their vegetable seeds from them nowadays. Anything can be the most...

    Edible nightshades?

I'm also growing ground cherries.  Last year the bugs loved to eat them before I had a chance.  At least they left the peppers alone.  I'm going to try to be more defensive this year.   I also got some tree tomato seeds, yellow and red.  I'll be starting those later on for next season though, as...

    chinense Unique Ghost pepper pod

All pods off of the same plant. And most varieties aren't 100% homogenous. A single fruit on a plant isn't going to look different because it was pollinated by a different plant. Cross polliantion does not affect the specific pod that grows from that plant, only the seeds. But if a variety...

    Aji Charapita Peppers

Yeah, I don't know what "market value" for these is exactly, but I don't think anyone has paid what some of these articles and websites claim. But, whoever is on the marketing board for the Aji Charpita pepper...props

    chinense Unique Ghost pepper pod

Yeah, that's just one of those first weird pods. Sometimes happens. If the rest of them look fine, then that's all it is. It will have the same genetics as all of the others on the plant, so saving the seeds wont preserve this shape.
