I wouldnt use less than a 26watt bulb per square foot of area, usally i use two 26 watt bulbs.

I didnt mean that he was trying to induce a bloom..just nurture one..as far as "other crops" are concerned...blooms can be induced with color change, and light durations. But we arnt talking about weed Jus Chili..

Growing chilies is full of trials, learning, errors, trying to get along with mother nature, and an art. Its far from easy bro. The rewards are definitly worth while.. I wouldnt trade it for anything. What kind of fert and nutes are you using and at what intervals?

How hot has it been getting down there Jenn? Your epsom salt mix is a little strong i use one tablespoon per gallon once a week. When i first started useing epsom i was using like every other night last year and it screwed up some of my plants and made them extremly photo sensitive so they burnt...

misting is definitly the way to water seedlings bro..ohh yeah and i almost never use plastic over the trays or a heat pad and usally have wonderfull luck germinating....hit me up if you need any more advice bro...... :cool: oh an after the trays i go to styrofoam then to pot i wouldnt try to...

once the seedlings sprout you have to remove the plastic bro they have to breath...other wise they will croke..grow lights can be cheap if you go with cfls...i have a couple posts about them have you seen em??? I can help you out on that if you want...I love those little trays, i think they are...

2700k is great for blooms bro, but a more blueish light like a 5500k or 6500k would be better for the vegging stage before the bloom...the more light the better...personally i think two bulbs would be fine....ive done it bro..
