    I think you may have a point man, my seedlings were lagging behind a ton because i was just using fish ferts on them until I found this stuff. so it may be the plants trying to catch up?

    I used a new fert on them, only thing I've been able to find are aphids.  Thanks for the info guys! I'm going to quarantine the ones I find that have symptoms and raise them to see how they do.

    The black plastic works really well for soils that do not get up to a good temp, I do not know about your temps or your location in Japan but I'm sure it would not hurt and would help with the Jap Beetles, we have them bad here in Tennessee.   Just watch out if you have a lot of rain, I had one...

    What type of thermometer is it? If its one for humans they tend to not do too well in just air, much better for soil. Check the temp of the soil and you want it around 85*!
