Noob in Search of some seeds

Check wal-mart in the craft section. Usually where the beads, shiny things and and other little girl type crap is. Most stores typically have 3 sizes and are under $3 for a bag of however many come in it. More than enough really.

SR is Sara R in Trinidad. IIRC, she worked for CARDI in Trinidad and is the source of some peppers such as the Douglah SR and Brain Strain.

I'm only sending the SR strain. He may want both and you've already put the seed in the envelope so may as well leave them. It'd be like putting the leash on your dog to talk him for a walk, he gets all excited that he's going somewhere and then you sit back down on the couch.

Ha, so do I. I bet mine will get there first. I'm actually sending the SR strain which is a bit longer than the regular Douglah. All of my peppers are OP because I don't have enough isolated to spread around.

Noob in Search of some seeds

I undestand because I have received seed that same way. Two years ago I received seed for a Nat Scotch Bonnet. When I tried to find information about it there was none to be found and people here said that there is no such variety. The member who gave away the seed is no longer active. So now...

Fyi, The White Bhut only came about in the last year. There is only one name and that is White Bhut Jolokia. This may seem picky and trivial but keeping the proprt names of a product intact is quite important. If you pm me your name and address, I have some seed to share.

Lookin for some seeds (Peppers / Tomatoes)

You can find the tomatoes your looking for from www.tomatogrowers.com They are about $3 per pack of 30 seed. I've ordered from TGS a few times and have not had any problems with them.

    AzaMax

Set off the fogger when you go to bed. Its a 12 hour lock out which isn't bad. Some things have a 4 week reentry time.

    AzaMax

You can also get pyrethrins in a fogger that will treat up to 3,000 sq ft, IIRC. I've used Pyrethrum which worked great on the pet thrips, aphids and gnats I had. There is also another product called Attain that my Hort instructors use. The cost is about the same as the Azamax but it saves you...

seeds How soon in pepper pod development can seeds be considered viable?

The best time to harvest anything that flowers or take cuttings is first thing in the morning before the heat of the day. The plant has the most nutrients and carbohydrates stored at this point. It also does not hurt to fertilize a day or so before harvest.

    Morouga/ Brainstrain offer

One has to strike while the pepper is hot. What this needs is some good ol competition. I'll sell my TSMB seed for $23.

    Morouga/ Brainstrain offer

There's a debate? The TS Mouruga looks like a TS and the Brainstrain looks like a 7 Pod...just saying.

    seeds Seed planting depth

1/2" is fine though it does delay the seedlings but not by much. I did an experiment in a propogation class last summer. One of the variables I tested was the planting depth. I did three 36 cell flats. One flat was seed sown on top, next was 1/4" and the last was 1/2" deep. The end result was...

    How bout them peppers?

I'm about an hour from you near Walterboro and start my seed very early as well. I have grow lights with seedlings, seed and full grown plants under them and that is strictly to extend a season or get started early. Most of the people around here are a bit touched in the head and love to post...
