    Mich 2011

I love the pepper garden walkway! I live around big mountains as well so I take them for granted, however the view you have even caught my attention. Looks like you will have a great season. Can't wait for more pictures.

Not sure what the mystery pepper plants are yet, however I think they are Red Savina Habs due to the fact that the pepper look identical to my labeled ones. Who knows..I probably winded up with Red Caribbean, but that wouldn't be so bad. I love the taste! I'm excited about the 7 Pods since...

pests What kind of bug is this?

I found this little guy on one of my ghost pepper plants yesterday, and today here's still there. It kind of looks like a tick, but I tried to identify it on the web with no luck. Just wondering if he's a friend or foe.

oh forgot to say something about what they are. The top 2 are supposed to be 7 Pods and the others are Red Savina Habs. I have 1 Trin Scorp starting to peek through.

    Ants??

I have a huge ant problem, and I have tried neems oil and coffee grounds. Both DID NOT WORK AT ALL!! There's 100's of them on each plant. What other organic solutions can I try?

I promised myself I would eat a whole pod from each plant as they produce their first pepper. I probably won't forget! :onfire:

Oh yeah. Please tell! I want to eventually go with 5 gal pots because I don't plan on putting them in the ground. I just didn't want to pay that much for them. I like the ones Neil uses from The Hippy Seed Company.

That's a Katydid. They're the noisiest little bastards too. We have them everywhere down here.

I appreciate it LC! Hopefully I will be producing some fruit soon like yours. Your Brain Strain plant looks beefy!

    Pinching buds

I stopped pinching mine, however they are a little taller than yours. I've heard mixed discussions about pinching. Once they're outside full-time, they will grow fast. Mine seem like they grow a couple of inches a night. Your plants look very healthy! Good luck!

Thanks! I'm not sure what the difference is other than I've had a fan on them 18 hours a day since they were infants. The stems are really getting thick. I think the best thing I found that has been doing wonders is mild foliage feeding everyday before dark. When I wake up in the morning...

Thanks. Yeah, I figured I could re-use these later. $1 per pot isn't too bad. The 3 gal pots were also $1.

    First Time Grower 2011

It's been a while, so I thought I would give an update of my plants. My biggest ones are about 13" tall by 11" wide. I've been pinching the buds for a couple of weeks now, however I've decided to just let them bud from now on (mainly because I want my first pepper so badly). I re-potted a lot...
