    Fatali Gourmet Jigsaw

It appears there was already an ornamental C.Annuum named Jigsaw. I can see it listed on chileplants.com, thechilewoman.com and chilepepperinstitute.org.

    C.cardenasii

Thechileman.org has a guide to crossing chili peppers page that has a table with a cardenasii row. The column with C.cardenasii as the female parent is sparse.

    C.cardenasii

There's a Rocopica (Rocoto & Ulupica cross) entry on rocoto.com. Have you considered bagging some of the flowers given you have Rocotos on your grow list?

No heat from my (so called) Lemon Habaneros

The thread that you found is one that I have posted in before. The pods appear very similar to what I grew that turned out to not be a Peach Habanero. Mine almost never had any heat. My Peach HabNot also produced pods that did not have much flavour. In my case though it was more of a problem...

Unpinched vs. Pinched - photo comparison

The first plant bears a striking resemblance to what ended up being a Capsicum Annuum Jamaican Yellow Mushroom. Sorry to break the news that your two plants are BonNots. The leaves and growth habit of the plants is that of Capsicum Annuum however Scotch Bonnets belong to the Capsicum Chinense...

    Bhut Jolokia White

At the time of my post I searched for White Bhut and came up with a number of results that clearly showed the red variety that was being sold as a White Bhut in a previous season. I bought seed from a vendor who distributed seed imported from the subcontinent (he said India but I traced the...

    Bhut Jolokia White

There are various Not-Whites that are never white and end up red doing the rounds. Pepper Lover refers to the difference in the listing of Bhut Jolokia White on her site.   I've seen photos of Pepper Lover's strain that remind me of photos of the Limo Blanco (smooth, conical).   Have you thought...

    Harry's 2012/2013

The only other plant I have seen with pods that ripen to a nice bright yellow are the C. chinense Limón. The Carmine pods ended up a shade of orange to my eye. The first pod on the plant, that aborted after a grub bored a hole into it, had a shape and texture more typical of a yellow 7. This...

    Cal mag/ fert question

As I mentioned before the fertiliser (best match on the name is Pure Blend Pro Bloom) already contains Calcium and Magnesium in the form of carbonates. The use of carbonates is what lead me to ask about the pH. If I was using a fertiliser that already had Calcium compounds in it I wouldn't be...

    Cal mag/ fert question

In your first post you mentioned Botanicare Pro Grow Bloom and gave the impression that you were already using a fertiliser product. Please clarify what fertiliser if any have you given the plant?   The new growth (tips and leaves) is what would be affected by a Calcium deficiency. The leaves...

    Cal mag/ fert question

There's some newer growth in the form of side shoots from the main stem that looks fine. Do you have any more photos of the new growth on the plant?

chinense Bhut Jolokia vs Bhut Assam strain vs Indian carbon

I asked JungleRain some time ago what varieties he observed as doing well in hot dry weather (i.e. temperatures of 35 °C). Assam Bhut Jolokia was on the list of varieties that did well for him at his location. The rest were mostly Trinidad varieties (the Scorpions, 7pots, Moruga Red/Yellow)...

    Megamoo's 2012/2013 Glog

Some varieties would have out competed the other varieties in a crowded situation. Did you remove the Limo Blanco plants back when you pulled up the other plants?

    Cal mag/ fert question

The fertiliser that you have mentioned already contains both Calcium and Magnesium as Calcium carbonate and Magnesium carbonate. I would look at the pH as a possible cause of nutrient lock out.

    Megamoo's 2012/2013 Glog

Seeing as there's been no mention of the Limo Blanco for half a year I am curious as to what became of it. Was it one of the earlier casualties of the season?
