Location means everything for peppers doesn't it?

Well I am using bat/seabird guano, kelp meal, worm castings with mycorrhizal added in stirred into the top two inches of the soil in the grow bags or pots. Am told that I will need to reapply in 4-5 weeks. I am in western washington and if you check my glog pics you can see the growth results.

Location means everything for peppers doesn't it?

The day and night temps are just one aspect of what it takes to grow peppers and how fast. There are a good many members with equal to worse temps that have no problem getting large plants and pepper pods. I for one am having the best growth ever from all my plants both in and out of the...

Not a lemon drop, any ideas?

I am on my phone so can not tell for sure but are those green aphids in the flower center or is it green. If not bugs then it has bacctuum species in it which is what the lemon drop is from.

Water plants that I am growing both tropical and other.

Thanks for the likes and comments. The pool with the tropicals is heated to help them along as we are almost to cool here for them to grow let alone thrive. I best advice growing them is the same for about everything the larger the growspace for a plant the easier they are. When i used to grow...

tropical water lilies.   So for tropical water lilies I have Tina, Panama pacific, king of blues, Albert greenberg and Ruby. All are viviparous water lilies meaning they make babies on some of their leaves. I also have a semi aquatic datura in the same pool with them.

Any ideas what these could be?

Well my plants are supposed to be one of the original serrano types. There are many newer strains out there that are not as fuzzy and may in fact be crosses rather by chance due to open pollinated or by choice of the grower. As long as the plant makes peppers you like it really does not matter...

It is basically composted bark, pumice, compost and some water polymers for a bit of water retention. I then use a variety of fertilizers and cal-mag+ once to twice a week.

Any ideas what these could be?

Here are pics of the fuzz talked about on my Serrano plants. I have seen seedlings from burpee and like companies who source out their seed grow with little or no fuzz. Either way I personally find the ones with the fuzz to have the most traditional serrano flavor.

    No new growth...2 months

I believe as stated above the plant has had some root rot going on. I would dig it up carefully at this point and wash the roots to see how they look. Either way take a good bit of the soil out and replant if signs of live root exist with fresh soil. Also while some may say 16-10-10 is fine I...

I think tacos sound like a great choice as we can do a variety of ingredients to put in them and all can spice them up to their own level of heat desire. I can already see us loading up the heat on each other with mini taco sliders.

So i am working on a wheel of fire to spin each round of a heat eating contest. I figure the first person to finish each round gets to spin the wheel for the following rounds item. After the first couple rounds or when we get down to the last four the last person to finish could be eliminated...
