Test run for when we leash out the KAOS fury on the Citos
#19 is the Cap Mushroom Red - from the first pot photo. Not bad for 3 days germination.
This year I'm using Osmocote Professional Plus - https://www.bunnings.co.nz/osmocote-professional-40l-premium-plus-potting-mix_p08912042
I'll only be adding perlite to this at a 1:5 ratio and lining the bottom of my containers with coco coir chunks for drainage.
Figured I'd grow most of...
Cheers Bpiela. Hopefully the crosses pan out and the TTT is just a weird superhot I have growing. Pods are white and fleshy and turn to red right at the end in less than a week.
Thanks Devv. Will be good if the weather plays fair. So unpredictable over here.
Same to you Karoo and I...
I'd be keen to see progress on those Reapers.
You may have little visual progress in such big containers, but all the business will be happening under the soil.
Had a week of frost here so well into winter, but plants still trying to push out pods. Gonna have to pull them soon unfortunately.

Welcome to my 2018 season.
Some more variety this year and really just growing favorites and some hopefully unusual chillies (for NZ anyway)
Also trying a new germination technique so it's all eggs one basket. I've trialed it and it works, but ya never know ...
Also aiming for two crosses...
Today’s harvest
181g / 17 pods / 19g heaviest
Picking are getting slim now, but she's still pushing out the pods.
I'll wait until the 20th June and do one last harvest unless the frost gets too bad.
Built this for equivalent of $25US
2 x Cree CXA2520 at 30W each so 60W from the socket.
Really nice colour spectrum and probably far too much for the 40cm x 30cm box, but just testing at the moment
My reckoning is that it will be close regardless of location, but SH growers may have the advantage a bit since the plant itself does not require huge lighting when small.
By the time spring comes and we let mamma sunshine do her thing the tides will be turning and advantage is in our court...
