I know what you mean about chemmy tasting things, but the best thing to do is use a flushing agent like "FloraKleen", "Clearex", "Final Phase". Use this about 2-3 weeks before harvest once then continue with plain water.

So what is the recommended light cycle for chillis under HPS/MH then. Coz if chillis aren't affected by the photoperiod then the 12/1 would work in theory as this was made for plants in the vegetive stage that would normally receive 18/6 or 20/4 light cycles. But IO need to do some homework on...

Yeah I will admit H&G is top notch nutrients especially their "drip clean" additive. it is great for reciculating Coco sytems and even run to waste coco it works well. Haqve you used the shooting powder or would that be pointless on swellage of pods.

cool DIY DWC you have there mate. You should try General Hydroponics 3 part Flora series instead of the Jungle Juice. I will try find the link but GH is actually stronger then Advanced so thats why Advanced seems cheap coz its watered down. Heres the profile comparison, don't understand why...

Same here I go to 1.2 EC at the peak.. you basically use about half of what the nutrient bottle says, otherwise you end burning the plants. Yeah my vegie garden loves the leftover water from rez changes

thats a nice CFL setup you got there megamoo. Looks like about 12x18watt bulbs if not can you explain how you figure out how much light you need for a given area. Also how do you run the light cycles...18/6, 20/4, 24/0 etc. Its my first time growing so want to know how long to run lights on for...
