make sure you set up for drainage. the chilis will most always grow better with better drainage the newspaper is used because water will get through it if you switch to a poor drainage film you are likely doing it bass ackwards if you can "super" compost before you dig no more it probably is...

look at that bamboo scaffolding man, some things are just too much but it is pretty cool i heard in china ALL scaffolding is bamboo run what you brung

you might try to shade the reservoir with something? maybe you can use the pepper plants or barbeque for keeping the rez made in the shade i don't know; run what you brung?

i ain't no expert, and do not have much experiments with deep water do the moruga roots seem to have found the reservoir yet? if they done did you might try some great white or other mychorrizacigal (sp.?) beneficial symbiotic crap

yo dot dude, the piquin looks like may have the same brown crud as your other plant had back in aug or sept. ??? looks to me like some viral/fungal on the piquin and some other variety on the naga have you tried any spray to combat the no see ums? maybe the plant surfaces have to be sprayed...
