I have a habanero that droops when the sun goes down. I just assumed it was normal for a hab as it is the only plant that droops. I just went check on it (5:15) and it has perked back up.

I agree. Make your own. I use peat, potting soil, vermiculite, manure, perlite and I throw in a little dolomite lime and garden or tomato tone. So far, it has worked fine. They are outside and have been for the last month. They only get afternoon sun during the week and morning sun on the weekends. This is because the sun sets in the front of my house and rises in the back. Not home during the week to allow them to get the morning sun.

I can't find Pro Mix so I just make my own soil. Check out the post for soil as it contains several difference recipes to make your own soil. MG soil is crap, expecially the organic. it's easier to make your own.

I have a jalapeno, tabasco and habanero plant that are about 8-10" tall and all have buds that are getting ready to flower. I've been picking off the buds but it seems like the more I pick the more it produces so I think I will just let them go.

I too had ants on some of my plants. I sprayed them with insecticide soap and also ivory liquid. I sprayed the plant and also the soil. That was about a month ago and I have not seen any since.

I bought Espoma domomite lime from Lowes. I mixed one tbl to a gal of water. It completely disolved and watered each of my plants yesterday. Some of my plants have a couple of yellow leaves and the dolomite lime has both calcium and magnesium. I also ordered Chile Focus but have not rec'd it yet.

I pinched off the ones for the Jalapeno. My habanero has some buds that will be turning into flowers soon, so I think I may leave them alone and see what happens.

Just re-potted my habanero and tabasco. The habanero was re-potted in a 5 gal bucket and the tabasco in a 3 gal bucket. Hoping all goes well and that the re-pot didn't cause any problems.

I think these were planted in a combination of MG Organic and another soil that I bought. This was before I found out that MG Organic is crap. I'll re-pot today and see what happens.
