    I think I have a Fe deficiency...

Update:   The newer leaves near the buds are curling down, getting gnarled and yellowing. Ca or Mo deficiency? Ca doesn't explain the yellowing on the lower leaves, Mo does. I have hydro fertilizer with Mo in it, should I foliar feed?

    I think I have a Fe deficiency...

Doesn't seem like there's sense in it just yet. I'll wait a few and if she comes back, I'll just be more rigorous next time. If not, I'll flush and come crying to THP once again. You'd think I'd be semi-good at this after a year! Yeah the HPS is pretty hard to get a picture in, especially if...

    I think I have a Fe deficiency...

I tried MgSO4 like I said in the OP, but that's good thinkin'. When plants are flowering and chlorosis occurs, it's usually Mg for me.   Added Epsom salts, waited a day and chlorosis had progressed. Added blood meal, chlorosis progressed. Added vinegar, still monitoring. I just added a bit of...

    Mycorrhizal Fungi

Great post, man! Just checked out my Jobe's Organics tomato and vegetable fertilizer. Looks pretty solid, actually. Doesn't seem to be that Screamin' Eagle crap with the predatory fungi in it...   Thanks!

    I think I have a Fe deficiency...

Not too sure about that. Chinense leaves are always a bit bubbly looking for me and Ca deficiency tends to attack young leaves since it's an immobile nutrient. My young leaves are the best looking so far, it's the older/middle leaves that are yellowing and getting funky. I added some bonemeal...

    I think I have a Fe deficiency...

Read that Fe is unavailable to plants with a soil pH above ~6.8 I checked mine and it's around the mid 7s. I added lots of bloodmeal and some white vinegar to change the soil pH. Sound like a legit tactic? I already tried adding N and Mg to fight the chlorosis but nothing worked. The leaves are...

    water Tap water conditioner?

Muriatic acid is HCl. Not good for plants because you'll be adding lots of chlorine which is dangerous for plants to absorb in high quantities. White vinegar is less potent but is also much less toxic.

    water Tap water conditioner?

I wouldn't bother. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Unless you're in an area where there's a lot of hydraulic fracturing for natural gas, your tap water is more than acceptable for growing edible chilis. If you are in an area like that, no amount of treatment to your water with a storebought...

Looking for suggestions to grow next year.

Talk to smileyguy. He has an interesting tepin/aji limon cross. I'm growing it next season to stabilize it. From what I hear the pods are delicious.

    REVIEW of thegreenman's Chocolate 7pots

http://imgur.com/phPP6c9   Dammit! Tried uploading with my webcam right from YouTube and the video failed to process...   No video I guess!   THE REVIEW:   The Pod: Externally these pods are pretty gnarly. They're about the length of a pinky finger and very wrinkled. Mean looking. Cutting it...

Man, that mylar/space blanket coating looks sick. I'll have to replace my aluminum foil with inside-out balloons!

tepin x lemon drop (new f3s in the dirt)

It's stressed, it'll probably throw out some veg for a while but pods will be along shortly. My guess is 1-1.5months.

Very Dark Green, Almost Purple Shriveling Leaves

80-85 is not too hot unless they're that temp 24/7. If they are I'd begin to be concerned. They need a break at night tbh. Keep in mind that these are tropical plants, they're supposed to be growing in South America, harvested by Incas. ;)   Fish ferts are high in N and low in P and K iirc. Use...

    Choco Scorpion?

Chillis aren't native to North America (where you find grizzlies.) They are, in fact native to South America and were cultivated there by humans for many many many years before explorers brought them to Asia, Europe, and North America. Chillis likely didn't evolve by being pleasing to local...
