That's not good about the shop lights, since the other day I bought a second one...Think a T5HO would be more consistent / accurate in Watts, or think we could even out the shop lights?

I use Ocean Forest bought from amazon for the last two years.. haven't had a gnat yet.  For some of my desert plants that I used MG soil for.. I pour boiling water in the soil before use, and let it cool down overnight.  

I really like that idea.  I think the plants would / will respond as if they were outside.

It is! I'm shocked by how much. I have the light 13 inches away.  16 hours on.  That's the last time I buy a blurple.  I definitely need to buy at least three more lights.

An update on how my Chocolate Primo is doing with the shop light.      The day of buying the light   Today..only four days with the light.

This is really interesting.   I hope the grafting works out well. 

I had a Black Pearl last year that was root bound, and it looked a lot like that.  Leaf loss, curled/ deformed leaves.. nothing I gave it helped until I looked at the roots.

Ugh, long day fog...  Just remembered that I started to try out Blackstrap Molasses... it's unsulphured, and it has Magnesium, calcium, and some potassium... not sure it's enough for a plant though.
