I'm jealous of your weather and plants! Great looking plants, hopefully something for myself to aim for in the future. Just need to get out of this apartment...
If anyone is looking for some cheap/free pots, sheridan nurseries has a "pot recycle" where they allow people to bring back trays and pots they don't need. If you ask they'll usually let you take whatever you want from it. I went yesterday and grabbed a dozen or so 1 gallons, and a bunch of...
I guess this is an update. Woot! everything isn't dead!
So the cayenne are flowering at about 7" tall. To pinch or not to pinch?
Scotch Bonnet
Various Superhots
They're not actually yellow, just look that way because of the light.
Stopped using peat pots, and transplanted all plants...
Were the leaves always curled? I might say calcium deficiency, as I have seen similar leaf formation in calcium deficient plants. I don't think the lights would cause that. In terms of the brown spots on the cotelydon, could very well be sun/light damage, especially if they have never been under...

I'll spend the next week trying to isolate capsaicin. I'm in chemical engineering though, so I would hope I would be able to do it. If not i might need to go back to undergrad :scared: .
In terms of who i serve and who i trust; I would hope I can trust the people on this forum to be genuine...
Alright so I'm rather new to this forum, but one of the reasons i came here was to discuss this very topic. I would like to know which one is "the hottest"
Right now I'm a masters student at the University of Waterloo, and have access to an HPLC for the price of $19/hour. Each run would take...
The only plants I could ever find in the GTA were cayennes. Similarily with seeds, there aren't any places that I know of to buy from and I've been looking for a while. I feel your pain. I would order online, you'll save time from searching everywhere.
Hey guys, I guess I decided to join. Started growing seed from some scotch bonnets I got at the grocery store about a year or so ago, and have become slightly obsessed since. Looking forward to being a member.
cheers,
