Devv: Someday, I'll get this right, South Tejas Growing

You are correct about the pods, also 2 yellow (Thunder Mystery) are to the right of the white pods located mid-bottom left.

    Lespaulde's 2020

Glad the peppers from the freezer do well in the drier ;)   Speaking of cooking with frozen peppers. Last year we had way too many Poblano peppers. LB prepped them for stuffed peppers. Then was able to take the frozen peppers out of the freezer, stuff them and put them directly in the oven. They...

Well the COVID convinced us. I switched lights for a few reasons. I had the T8 array, and did not have the room, without restructuring that shelf.   I took the easy way out :D

Thanks CD!   So far the year has been good for growing ;) We should be winding down for the most part soon, 4-5 more weeks and we get a break!

We have Romaine and Bibb Lettuce growing. The Bibb lettuce objected to the T5. I only switched them out about 4 days ago, and I'm thinking--hoping it was the thing to do. Time will tell. The T8s have the same color range 6,500k, but a much lower intensity..

HeatMiser's Keeping it Simple With Old Seeds 2020 Grow

Interesting story about the Jals. I'm guessing the high nutrient level (N?) hurt them. My guess ;)   I'm hoping the TS will get on the right track. I read the link you provided, and my feelings are lets see what happens.   Good luck with it!

I passed on them this year because they take so long, maybe I should start them earlier. But in the previous grows I had to top them, as they get so dang tall. I ran out of room height wise indoors. The pods are worth growing for sure ;)

Thanks Joe,   I never saw them until I started adding the wood chips to the garden, they like the dead wood I guess ;)

Thanks HM,   The Lettuce is close, LB has an itchy trigger finger. ;)  I thought about a pic as I was uploading. I moved to the T5 early on hoping it would help production, but moved back to the T8 light. The T5 @ 12"s was burning the tips of the plants. I also started more, trying to get a...

That was my first thought, poison Ivy. I can walk within15 feet from those plants and get the rash.   Hope I didn't get it from the pic! Don't burn it, bad juju if you do..   The steroid dose packs work well.

The Aji Amarillo get about 5-7 feet tall, the pods are great, but production is kind of slow.

Those Poblano peppers are for Chili Relleno     Best I can tell is this is an Ox Beetle. They are decomposers, AKA good bugs..they dig down about 10-12"s and come up this time of the year. The holes they make are slightly larger than a US quarter.

Devv: Someday, I'll get this right, South Tejas Growing

Things have been quite busy in the garden, with harvesting/processing. That and we've been getting a little rain here and there.   We've been putting up corn, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and garlic.   I took a few pics this morning:     The Haskorea has been throwing a few ripe pods here and...

Purple Thunder / Bhut Jolokia x (PdN x Bonda Ma Jacques)

Hi Joe,   So I don't fully understand your climate, especially during spring. What if you got 14-18" plants outside when the night time temps stay above 45°? Would the Chinense produce before the heat? I find it a PIA to wait until fall, and respectfully refuse to do so anymore :shh: I just have...

    CaneDog 2020

As always, your plants are looking stellar.   I bought a LED for the spring grow, and it's a totally different animal. I have a HO T5 with 4, 54? something watt 6,500 bulbs, several T8's with 6,400 or 6,500 color bulbs.   The T5, I just learned recently, burns Lettuce leaves, even at around...
