Thunder Struck!
That happens to be my ring tone. I haven't picked up the guitar as much as I should lately. Try and play the intro with just one hand. My fingers aren't strong enough..BUT, they have the amps @ 110% :drunk:
You should be good!
When I say I have a short season, it's...
I would love to turn on the news, or read the news, and it NOT have anything about COVID.
Unless it's about the new cure or vaccine. Can I say Fork China here?
I'll be making tee shirts..
Well done CD!
You could take them to a pepper show and clean house ;)
I wish I could get more than 3 or 4 pods from the Pubes down here, I feel it's been more me than them, with a large garden and all...
I'm using some storage bins I bought at Walmart. I bought a 4 pack. I guess I'm running a modified Kratky system with an air-pump and air stones.
I'm using 2" netpots with rapid rooters, I can get 6 Lettuce plants per container. They hold 2 gallons of mix. I use the GH Flora series, and start...
I have my container plants in 15 gallon grow bags. I use old arrows to stake the plants, which works well. I have a wooden fence around the garden to help with the winds we get here, but the container plants are outside of the fence.
I've made a few adjustments to help with the wind and sun, but...
Early pods..
That's quite a few different tomato varieties. I thought I was bold with 6..LOL
LB already told me one choice is out. Golf ball maties do not put a smile ;)
Good luck with them! Thankfully they're way more forgiving than peppers :shh:
I had to look up 5c...LOL
The 40's shouldn't hurt, if you feel it's going to frost run the sprinkler on them.
I've done this and it works; saved 95 out of 96 plants when the temps went down to about 27°, was maybe lower.
You hit it right on the head about adding plain old dirt to the compost. It has all the goodies to get things going.
That, and use what you choose as a grow medium. There are so many options.
Have a great season and enjoy it ;)
I say well done!
This is my first year trying any hydro, and I've been gardening since 1982 (yes old I am).
I'm testing on Lettuce..LOL
Good luck on your grow, I'm sure it will turn out well ;)
Nice looking cookers ;)
I sure do hate plumbing, be it coming or going. But when I do a big job by myself, like digging down 3 feet to find the cracked septic tee that roots got into..I price my work and then reward myself accordingly :shh:
Nice looking pods Glen!
I agree the plants are killer producers. I have yet to harvest a pod off the green mystery plant that has not been damaged by bugs.
They do ripen Yellow.
Both Thunder 2 plants have very dark purple pods until they ripen. I don't have any fully ripe pods from the...
Those plants look great Andy!
This year I had mine under the LED, and it's really bright. That and it was cloudy. I stuck them outside and they never complained.
The tomatoes were under T5 and T8 lights. They silvered up some.
Actually those pods are still on the counter top. But last year the reds were a lot bolder in flavor, and just a bit hotter than the Yellow P. Dreadie.
Today and the last few days have flown by.
We did have a crazy assed lightning storm last night. Got almost 2 inches of rain, and some hail...
It would have been nice if they somehow let 'yall know. Especially since you're like 100 feet from the field.
They quit burning down here years ago. The climate here allows for plant waste to break down more than up North.
I'm figuring the cheapest thing for the farmer to do is the burn. Turning...
The Hi Jacking continues...
We have 80 tomato plants in the ground, so no round 2. We could, but need to finish painting the house, which will be in year 2...LOL
